WHAT DO I WANT FOR THE NEW YEAR?

Updated on December 30, 2011

I was in a dilemma.

What to do what to do?

I was trying to decide, between life and death.

Should I just give up?

Should I gone on? Or Keep trying?

The New Year was coming.

I being so tired of life, of sickness and hurting.

But then out of the blue

Came YOU MY LORD, CAME YOU.

Being so good that YOU are

Wanting only the best for me;

YOU sent me messages

YOU sent me love

The door to happiness YOU said is opened wide

It’s up to me to walk through.

My Dear Lord there YOU are.

My sweet LORD here I am.

Tell my mom hello

My sister too,

That I miss them so;

Help me Lord to be a better person,

To love more, to give more;

To sing more, to laugh more;

Help me sweet Lord to send seas of balloons

Up and up and away;

As I have gazed at your sweet glory

I see the precious sea of love

The unspeakable joy to speak your name,

Just to know your joyful remembering,

So my dear Lord please take this pain away.

Make this New Year a joy for me.

And just knowing you will help me be my best.

Makes my heart swill of laughter and

Your sweet love;

So Lord what do I want for the New Year?

You my Lord YOU!

      This is quite touching and thoughtful , there are a few words on HP, that ignited a tearful eyes , and that's actually great that this poem Deborah managed to do same. I will wait to see the truthful reason behind this because I am not one who cries easily always helping those who cry.

      A beautiful song which I played first.

      I am leaning in the direction of , being in a place where I can identify will all that's around me and now I am experiencing more truth.

      I know it's happy tears, because it always make me think about my loving mother.

      Thanks for sharing this truthful beautiful poem . Ask and it shall be given onto you, the decision is not ours , only ours to carry out.

      Bless.

      Oh my sweet, sweet, sister Debbie, you marvelous Christian spirit. God, has blessed you with far too much talent and ability to witness for our Lord to EVER give up. I know this is but a poem and maybe I have been a counselor for far too long but I see a personal struggle here. It is a beautiful but sad poem. Not the usual Deborah Brooks-Langford genre but still very good. I do want you to recall the words of one of the greatest poet laureates of all times, King Solomon of Israel in the book of Proverbs 3:4-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding but acknowledge him in all your ways and He will direct your paths." You are a GREAT poet and writer. Hang in there, it will get better. I voted UP, useful, awesome, beautiful and interesting. Love your work Debbie
