~~~ A Brief Encounter ~~~
~ Ships In The Night ~
V1/ We conversed together, in riddles and rhymes,
'Cause she'd closed her mind, a thousand times.
Stories and fables, did I regale,
That drew her breath, when she exhaled.
V2/ Love at first sight,
Ships that passed in the night.
Pleated, and polished,
She left me astonished;
De'butante, classy; sexy and sassy;
Film-star good looks,
Singing fresh killer hooks.
V3/ The immovable, met irresistible force;
This frenzied passion, took its' natural course.
She whispered her most uninhibited desires,
We made them come true, as her body perspired.
V4/ Our pleasure cruise steered a reliable rudder;
Starboard bow, turned, as I felt her shudder;
We lost ourselves, as these thoughts were assembled,
She screamed forth my name, as her body trembled.
She gave me her love, so warm,and so tender,
Like burgeoning Spring, in the lap of September.
V5/ Now, her evening dress hangs loosely,
Across the latticed back, of a Queen Anne chair;
Our immaculate shoes, lie, half-lost amongst the thick-piled, burgundy carpet,
Strewn, haphazardly, like stepping-stones, paving the way,
Toward a King-sized, brass bed.
V6/ Four-postered heaven,
Surrounded by airy, multi-coloured drapes,
That shall never divulge their secrets.
Her wispy nightgown, splayed, across the Wilton,
Like an abandoned, beautiful ghost,
A sweet reminder of this playful lady.
V7/ Her scented memory, lingers,
Offering a sensual rumour, from
My short-reigning, perfumed Duchess.
The glinting lustre of old gold,
And sullied pearls, catch my eye, as
Her earring hides, carelessly,
Amongst the folds, of
Ruffled, silken sheets.
V8/ A momento of stolen moments,
That hanker for her, since
My Countess took her bow, into the
Late, misty evening,
When the proud curtain, fell,
Upon the overture of our bliss.
