~~~ A Walk In The Park ~~~
Updated on July 5, 2013
~ A Walk.... ~
The winding path ushered us through the open foray, past an enormous duck pond, boasting a gushing, dual, Corinthian fountain, spraying aimlessly, then arching its creamy spray, back into the silent, waters, frothing,as the glistening sun rays playfully bounced off the ever-increasing ripples, that reached toward us, like a visual, sonic wave of burgeoning calm.
Ambling past this fiesta, motioned us across, from slides, and climbing frames, as children carelessly frolicked up, and down giant pendulous swings, swaying to, and fro, like a mighty, outdoor timepiece, as their friends went round, and round the roundabout, all awhile, with a pungent odour of fresh oak, sauntering through the Summer air, as a fleeting lark bleeped her forgotten trill.
Continuing henceforth, led us past the circular, umbrage of a bandstand, resounding with the deathly hush of its silent orchestra, thence this snaking path quickly wended its way onwards, as we passed the joggers, as they passed us, puffing and wheezing ,as yesterdays’ caloried pastry delights took their unforgiving revenge upon them; poodles chased toy dogs, with worried owners launching a beady, protesting eye on this unfair, canine assault. All the while, we caught the heady vista of giant Bonsai trees, nobly spreading wizened, teal, flattened fingers, across the backdrop canvas of a dreaming sky, whilst the sweet tang of honeysuckle enveloped our thankful senses, with its pleasing broadcast....♥
      Ahhh!!! Flash!! Lol!!! You crack me up, and leave me in bits.You're like a slinky cougar, hiding amongst the tall reeds, ready to pounce at the first sign of wordage :))
      It's been like a sauna here today, too, and set to get even hotter.
      I'm always pleased when you drop by, and this short prose was a real walk.
      Thank you for the amazing gift of your presence, and your lovely comments.
      Yours Sincerely,
      R.Q.
      That has to be the most exhilarating walk in the park I have ever been on!
      Thank you for taking us along on your spectacular walk. Wow, really enjoyed this read here with all the "caloried pastry delights" taking their revenge, as well as poodles chasing toy dogs!
      You will love this, as my sister and I went to the park this night, as the little town in which I live has "Movie Night in the Park" on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m., and all from the town who choose to do so gather to watch a movie. This night was the first night that I have been since we moved from the city. And believe it or not . . . my sister brought along, Lucy, her toy poodle to the park! LOL
      Your stunning imagery reminds me of when my children were small and I would take them to the parks in the city, and those images look just like where I would take them, with the lovely ponds, swans and, well, our parks had willow trees.
      What a lovely blessing after coming home from the park to go right back to your beautiful park and all the enchanting activities going on there.
      Voted up +++ and sharing
      Blessings, Faith Reaper
      A feast of the senses.
      Great imagery here and all the descriptive movement creates a real feeling of momentum as if moving through the park when reading.
      Hi Anna!
      It was written in a true sequence of observation, so lending this ambulation with a semblance of fluidity.Thank you, once again, for dropping by, and it's always a pleasure.
      Yours Sincerely,
      Hi Faith Reaper!
      I'm glad that you think so :) You're welcome, and I do love that little story of you and your sister....Wow! Happy coincidence? or His reminder that He is casting a caring eye over us both? It's great that your city park had weeping willows, and I'm sure that the little 'uns had a ball,with such a beautiful panorama.
      Thank you so much, and I love it when you stop by, because you always make me feel good with your wonderful comments, and presence.
      Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and love and blessings to you and your precious family.
      With Sincerest, and Warm Regards;
      Dearest Romeos Q,
      Yes, I know He does watch over me and family each day, as I claim His promises each day from Psalm 91 for protection over my family.
      My sister and I did have a lovely time, and met new friends too! And then I was blessed to come home and read this lovely write here . . . about the park!
      Have a lovely Sunday.
      God bless, Faith Reaper
      That is such a fine Psalm, Faith Reaper, full of so many promises, and I can see how verse three has a special significance for you.
      Happy to hear that your life is continuing to be blessed, and I for one, always feel blessed when you visit these pages with such heart-warming, and mindful comments.
      May the sunshine in you always wax brighter than the heavenly disc of passionate glow.
      Have a lovely evening,
      Sincerely,
      Thank you hmihajlo, for the follow, and your observational comment.
      Bee-keeping sounds like an interesting hobby - at least you won't get stung by those supermarket price hikes.
I had no idea I was looking for a dog. She is precious and a blessing indeed. God is like that likes to surprise His kids. Thank you for such a lovely read. Love ya romeos. Skye
      Skye! You have a new baby girl! :)I love dogs. That's wonderful! You must be really made up about that, and I'm sure that you shall both be spending a great deal of time in those wonderful little paradises. Never had a toy dog before - had a few doggies, but my old mum was more of a cat person,( one clever one used to turn the tap on by herself for a drink ), though we had a few crazy hounds! My sister Christina had a husband who had a menagerie in his house....finches, cockatiels, rabbits, furballs of all descriptions etc...animals are great companions.
      I sure hope that you have a few exciting adventures with your new furry package of four-legged affection.
      I love you too Skye - you are so beautiful sister.
      Goodnight, sweetheart :)
      Good Evening Misty phillips;
      It was a long time ago when I posted this Hublet and I think I borrowed the pic you like from a source which required no mention; however, after earnestly scouting around to find the original source, the closest I've found is this wallpaper site which received permission from the original artistic manipulator.( Even though the pic used here is similar, but not the same as the one I used ). It would probably be wise to err on the side of caution and seek permission from aforesaid source; however, I certainly have no objection if this version is used by you if it puts no one else's nose out of joint and does not impinge upon their legal rights nor lay upon you unwanted legal ramifications, and as long as it isn't used for commercial or profit-making purposes. I certainly will not accept any financial remuneration for its use. It is used here for non-profit, fair use purposes under Section 107 of the copyright act 1976.
