~~~ Confetti In Her Attic ~~~
Updated on July 27, 2013
~ Confetti In Her Attic ~
V1/ I call for you, my bride, now does thee cry a fear somewhere,
Within a chamber, filled with tears, that holds a smile which sweetly cares?
You cannot see a rainbow, for it hides behind your eyes;
Though I find it, when I gaze into your crystal blue disguise.
V2/ Your butterflies are dancing, ‘neath my undulating chest,
Threading hearty strings a tether, for you, they weave their loving nest.
Lips,as honey-water, quenching thirst to which they slake,
Inside thy glorious luncheon box, resides your frosted wedding cake.
V3/ This man was made for loving you; smooth hands to feather skin;
These dulcet words were honed, to cure your heartache, deep within.
Now when it rains, it always pours, so close your windows, open doors, of
Tender hearts, to fire the chill, I think of thee, I love you still….
      Hi WL! Your speed is only surpassed by your heart-warming enthusiasm, and I don't know why, but you still crack me up a little when you whizz past here, like the Flash that you are :)
      Thank you for such uplifting, and succinct comments. I certainly hope you find that CNA position soon, which you so richly deserve, as any hospital would look great wrapped around you. :) Thanks for the vote, and wishing you an exciting weekend!
      A nice piece Romeos, I enjoyed it as I was in a romantic mode anyway. Yesterday was my 50th wedding anniversary. We married young, she was 17 and I was 19. There were times I thought we wouldn't stay together, thank God we did.
      Have a great Sunday,
      Chuck
      I'd like to wish you and your wife a very happy Fiftieth Golden Wedding Anniversary Writer Chuck. Congratulations! - how on earth did you do it? I can't even do five years, let alone fifty lol! I'm genuinely thrilled for you both, and pleased that the poetry coincided with such a momentous occasion. Unusually, the program I saw today on DVD was actually about a married couple celebrating their wedding anniversary, no word of a lie lol!
      Have a great Sunday yourself, and here's to another fifty ( gulp!).
      I raise my glass to you Chuck;
      All the Best,
      R.Q.
