~ The Daffodil - Courtesy of The Creator ~

~Narcissus pseudonarcissus~

V1/ In brazen times, sol jived his bloom,

Thence spun her on eternal loom;

Extending rays in fires of noon,

Whenst west met easts’ relentless June.

V2/ Scintilla of May’s remorseless sears,

Evaporated, moonlit tears;

Whose sibyline spell, broke chants of wizards,

To parch away thy arcane blizzards.

V3/ Summer dress, swanked elven sandals;

Mane, shone like a million candles;

Mellow tones devoid of vice,

Thy gait, demure, in mincing slice.

V4/ A song of love; a virtual touch;

A gentle giggle, that meant so much.

An arching brow o'er sparkling tooth,

Sweet tender lips of vibrant youth.

V5/ A melting gaze to make thee mine,

A debtor, to your dreamy eyne;

A loving beam, so bright and fresh,

To charge your fool with happiness.

V6/ Your curtained face set hearts apace,

Exquisite arms of sweet embrace.

The smiles you laughed; the words you said,

Now memories, inside my head.

V7/ Through amaurotic, salient pause,

Of you not mine, and I, not yours;

So near, my dear, but miles apart,

In ocean tides, but ne’er in heart.

V8/ Oh life! Where is my songbird flower,

My love, ensconced inside her bower?

E’en mews which crooned fleet swoons of her,

Skedaddled, rimed birch, snowbrothed, ether.

V9/ Thou’s eyne of glede whelmed guiled offence;

To reave from thee unmarshalled sense,

So please return, unto thee, lest,

Thou’est perish inside thine empty nest.

THE END

      Hey Kim,

      Good to have you back and it's a pleasure to be instrumental in turning your day up a notch.

      I can't publish the racy poems ( you know - the one's that'll snap knicker- elastic at a hundred paces lol! ), but am at a loss as to what to write now, as romance seems to becoming somewhat passe on here ( and I want to be wrong on that score ).

      Thanks a million, and hope that your day has been a fine unveiling so far.

      Best Wishes,

      R.Q.

      That's great news dear Skye, about being in receipt of your new gizmo for what sounds to be a real bargain - nothing stopping you now! That's good that you didn't lose any of your hard graft to an electronic oblivion; will sure look forward to what that first class heart and mind of yours may decide to share with your fortunate readers in the forseeable.

      Thanks for your blessings sis, and sending some right back at you, all the way across the time and tide of the Atlantic marine.

      Take Care,

      R.Q.

      RQ Aaaah. You are a sweetheart dear bro. FYI I got my new refurbished computer this am. Gods timing perfect. Price tag unbelievable. This kind gentleman nearly gave it to me. It is almost identical to the dell I fried. I did not loose any work. I am so grateful and thank God. No doubt about it the gates of hell shall not prevail against sharing the good news. So I am back at it. Working on a hub. My Love and Blessings across the oceans blue. Back at you RQ. Skye

      Hey Jo,

      You leave such sweet commentary, which is just wonderful. Thank you for your kindness; it would surely be a tall order to compete with nature, though certainly glad that you enjoyed the read this early morn - the sun has risen early this Wednesday, so thank you Jo.

      All credit to God, who makes it possible.

      Sending good thoughts your way to a bleary-eyed ray of sunshine - I love you nurses; some of the best women ever to bless man, and you are certainly no exception to that.

      With Warm Regards,

      R.Q.

      I'm not sure which gives the most pleasure, your words or the beautiful daffodils, but together... pure magic. You certainly have a way with words.:)

      Hiyah Skye, dear sis,

      Well I sure am blessed that I chose the right colours which you like, and yes indeed - roll on Springtime!

      That's just awful luck Skye soaking your gadget like that - easily done though, when there's a huge mound of paperwork hogging all of one's desk space, and looking for somewhere to park a cuperoo. As long as you have your drafts, you should be good to go still. It can get addictive if you are used to being on most days, so I'm with you on that one precious.

      You're a beautiful soul Skye, and feel nought but love when you grace this humble corner of the universe, and will never take you for granted - so pleased that there was something in particular which appealed to you, and I am always the one blessed by having you settle for a while, with such remarkable kindness and generosity seldom seen and felt on starship Earth. Thank you for the hugs, and wish I could return them for real; will try to keep them coming as the tide ebbs and flows. Thank you Skye. Don't go changing.

      Love your bro,

      R.Q.

      Hi there Kathryn!

      I trust that you are doing fine, and are settling now after your recent move - your comedic Hub at your site was a great laugh! Glad you liked the verse and the cat photos - sort of reminded me of someone, so I sneaked it in there :)

      A woman I used to lodge with many moons ago used to be crazy about that band, and played it incessantly lol! I sure didn't mind though - beautiful girls with equally exquisite, dulcet singing tones. 1990's? Wow! How it flies!

      Come on over when ever you feel like it - no stress in this Hub space.

      Thanks a million, and sending good wishes for you and your kin for an evening of splendour.

      Hey Jodah,

      Really generous of you to share such commentary, so thank you. There have been a few writes on this particular flower by past masters, so a new spin I thought could be refreshing on a timeless panoptic of one of nature's wonders.

      Best Wishes,

      Well, I'm glad that I could be of assistance towards doing that for you dear Lesley, and return sincere thanks for your uplifting remarks.

      There certainly is a great deal of talent out there discovered and otherwise, and is one of the amazing advantages of utilizing the internet for such broadcast purposes.

      Lol! Yeah...the pud pic was inserted on a whim; animals are great - steal the lens every time.Thanks for flying by!

      Romeos My Dear bro. I so love the yellow flowers. Absolutely beautiful and encouraging. Spring is on its way. Alleluia and praise the Lord. I spilled coffee onto my computer a couple of days ago and it fried. Just when the writing is welting up inside of me. Well the devil cannot stop me, Amen. I will get another computer. It is out there with the exact and right price tag and it is perfect. God knows. Now I am at the local high school library. Grateful for the computer time. Talk about with draw. JK, not.

      Back to your lovely works here. I love it. When I read your writings I just feel your compassion and love for others. U are such a precious man and touch so many hearts. Mine included.

      This sentence jumped out at me' A loving beam, so bright and fresh, To charge your fool with happiness.'

      Awesome and heartfelt RQ. You are a breath of fresh air. I needed to see your flowers. I am touched and God has worked through you to bless me. My love dear bro In Christ Jesus. Hugs Galore your way. Skye

      Keep em coming bro. Voted and shared. the bee to the flower awesome.

      You have such an enchanting way of writing. It seems like how many writers would have written years ago. I don't know how you do it.

      Aside from the beautiful words, you have chosen such stunning pictures of the daffodil. It is such a cheerful flower. I especially like the one with the cat. Adorable!

      The song is a nice touch, too. I used to listen to Ace of Base in the 90s. Great band.

      Thanks for sharing this with us. It has been a while since I have read your poems, so when I saw this on the notification e-mail, I felt compelled to read your newest gem.

      I have to agree with Faith Reaper! You have just made my pretty ordinary day into an extraordinary one. All those words in your mind waiting to be shared in beautiful order for all of us to read. There is so much talent in this world and yet only a few reach the masses. Thank goodness for the Internet.

      Love the little puddy cat btw..

      From the bee to the flower (I read your comment above), and still "a song of love." Beautiful phrases as usual -- "Skedaddled"(I looked that up), rimed birch, snowbrothed, ether." Good every time, Romeos.
