~~~ D'ebutante ~~~
Updated on September 15, 2013
~ D'ebutante ~
V1/ A ghost, wrapped in a broken dream,
Returns, to haunt thy waking scene.
Merciless sparkles; turquoise eyes;
Piercing promise of windowed lies.
V2/ Chiffon ruffles, Belgian truffles;
Borrowed kiss in moonlit shuffles.
Sensuous dance , demure and slow,
That eve, queen dubbed thee Romeo.
V3/ Smoked eyes, her figure all dressed in hearts,
Hair band of Alice, sweet music starts;
We listened to our song, together,
And felt our thoughts, as they were tethered.
V4/ Twilight heat could do no wrong,
Embraces ‘pon her plush chaise longues;
Just she, and thee in fantasy,
Caressed, though sweetness could not see.
V5/ Those nights, I wish I could forget,
To yearn without their dull regret;
Another time; another place,
Thine lips would rest upon thy face.
V6/ Bedazzled lovers, whose reign has passed
Begs midnight’s ‘now’, to make it last;
Tortured eros, lost regress,
Which craves to lend her tenderness.
V7/ Now all remains, words on a page,
Old love, bound up in rhythmic cage;
Moments in time, our longings send,
Their ‘ternal tune which never ends.
      "Windowed lies." "Tortured eros." Your phraseology is exquisitely beautiful.
      Yes, mankind sure can and does such everyday, even football LOL
      Agape is divine, so it doesn't get better than that and, yes, all other types come from agape love. You always put it much nicer with your gift of words.
      Yes, the grapevine is on the up and up : )
      Blessings, Faith Reaper
      Hey there, Faith Reaper,
      Thank you for coming over and leaving your marvelous comments.
      I suppose mankind can make a 'god' out of anything; there seems to be a place for everything though - Agape seems to be the most trustworthy from experience, which seems to make all of the other loves possible - the fountain from which they drink.
      I heard through the grapevine that your Angel had her pins removed - I sure hope things are good, and also that your hubby is still on the mend, and that you are feeling rested. Thank you Faith.
      Kindest Regards,
      R.Q.
      Hi Romeos,
      Ah, yes, that yearning and tortured eros love ... will surely bring one to such a state indeed. Of the four types of love, eros ... can almost be a God to some. That true love, agape, is most divine.
      Brilliant writing of course!
      Up +++ and sharing
      Hugs and blessings,
      Faith Reaper
