~ A Gift For ' Wetnosedogs ' : ) - " The Frog & The Dog " ~
~ "THE FROG & THE DOG "~
‘Twas an overcast grey, in the middle of May,
Round a girl, who today, felt snap-happy;
A pink-panting tongue, on a rug comes along,
Spying green, seeking long-lost pappy.
“ I’m moving some rubble, you slime-jumping bubble! “
Barked an eager, excited young Jenny;
“ I caught your eye glimmer, thought, “ Hey, could be dinner! “,
Whilst squatting, to spend a new penny.
“ You’re fresh out of luck, for I ain’t tasty buck,
Nor a small, mobile cabbage, crying ‘ Ribbit! ‘;
I’m a frog, don’t you know, not a toad-croaking hoe,
Maybe Prince, in disguise, you inhibit. “
“ So, tell me what’s wrong,
Whilst you’re barking your song,
Or let me just bound, past your way;
I was leaping about, ‘till you gave me a clout,
Then detained, muddy paws brought delay. “
“ I do not have rabies; the mange or the scabies “,
Fawned Jenny, as she lip-smacked her muzzle;
“ Been waiting for ages, to make green furry babies “,
Frog frowned, her impossible puzzle.
“ What on earth do you mean? “
Whispered smooth-talking green,
“ I’m amphibious, not canine you know;
Jen, you’re feeling too frisky, and this could be risky,
Though we’d sure make Jerry Springer’s best show. “
*** Please check out a very warm person, with a great sense of humour, who's also a fond animal lover. Thank you! ***
