~~~ Insouciance ~~~
Updated on January 04, 2014
~ Insouciance ~
Let’s join trove dots flecked ‘pon thy sky,
Inscribe trothed names of you and I;
In quiet repose, where buttoned nose,
Reflects chinked starlight from your clothes.
Where whistling oaks hight yonside moors,
Romantic skies march distant shores;
Accordions dallying, Chablis flowing,
Smiles that know just where they’re going.
Playful laughter; Dolce dresses;
Tumbling gold of feminine tresses.
Velvet boxes, decked in rouge,
Iced content sure to fell a scrooge.
Gloaming soiree of nigh, subdues,
In private lanes of garth you choose;
To exit blues and enter news,
Of cairngorm, smoke-quartzed ‘ I love you’s ‘.
Hidden rings, fraught shining things,
Bedazzling jewels to sprout your wings.
Sweven scenes, might sate your nacht,
True thoughts, which frame our lover’s pact.
Brooked lips in press, smooched barriers melt,
Released sensations, guerdon felt;
Waves lave, then swish their curtsy sound,
Cadenza, alms-guest couplet crowned.
Now linking arms in promenade,
Swart moonlit shoals crash smooth façade;
Victorian lamplight hugs thy form,
In lover’s sighs, forever sworn.
      Happy New Year Romeo: Welcome back I missed you. This is a stellar piece, as faithreaper said, it takes you away to behold the beauty of the union only God could have orchestrated between man and woman. You must be in love or you just honor being in love. This poem is coffee top material for poetic book clubs. You are going to write that book, yep. This inspiration has to be shared with the world. The title also sent me to the dictionary, lighthearted. That's always a good thing for me to brush up on my vocabulary. Have a great day and new year. England's Gent. Magnificent!
      Hiyah Flash! How are you? Haven't seen you for a while either; I hope you had a fab Christmas and an equally pleasant New Year. I guess it's either hibernation weather where you are or those dastardly baddies have tried to put those concrete boots on you to prevent you from flying, or Bubblews have kidnapped you and taken you as their happy hostage :) Look forward to catching up on your writing. Thank you for your lovely comments.
      Indeed dear Jackie; a happy ending which everyone should have, especially the ladies. It frustrates me a little when I see those decent folk who have been denied this - would love for that magic to be grafted into their reality, even if it is only for a day.
      Thank you for your kindness and for your generosity.
      With Warm Regards,
      R.Q.
      Hi Jodah,
      Thank you for your kind comment; just had a quick gander at your profile and see you're from Oz. Years ago, my 'ol mum and dad had the opportunity of moving to your neck of the woods when I was a nipper but never took it - I wish they had! All the Aussies I've met here are real genuine, salt-of-the-earth, lend you their last cig type of people that are fun to be around.
      Going to hit the follow as some of your Hub articles look intriguing.
      All the Best,
      R.Q.
      Sorry Faith, but if hadn't stood me up at the Champ-Elysees, I wouldn't have had to save face and find someone else ( tee hee! ).
      Thank you so much, and it's my pleasure to be able to make readers feel like they are being escorted to another place, or moment in time; perhaps even offer a temporary telescopic vision of somewhere they would like to be.
      Sending warm wishes for a lovely evening;
      ...And a very Happy New Year to you too, Mabel!
      Your book is just great and I gave it to my youngest sister as part of her presents, as it seemed to be tailor-made to her current circumstances, so thank you again for producing such a forthright, intelligent, beautiful and lovingly written selection of lessons and poetry, containing such wisdom and personal experience, with quite an attractive photo of your kind self on the back cover, if you don't mind me saying.
      Thank you so much for such splendour poured onto this little comment section, and yes, shall eventually have that book written - thank you for being so considerate and generous; all glory to God for sure.
      Sending good wishes and happy thoughts your way for a wonderful evening and continued success for you in this new chapter of 2014.
      Thank you for a kind reply to my comment Romeo. Yes, pity your parents had decided against a move to our fair shores. Though with the current heat wave that may have been a wise decision. Most Aussies are very genuine, and what you see is what you get type people. You are most welcome to visit my hubs ant time. Happy New Year.
      Besides helping to improve my vocabulary, your poems make me admire the language in general. You're such a clever word artist. "I admire phrases like "chinked starlight" and "Victorian lamplight" among others.
      Hi MsDora,
      If it has made you appreciate the language in general, then these efforts have not been in vain, and pleased that there were some phrases in there which caught your fancy, so to speak.
      I hope the week falls your way, and thank you for flying by for a read.
      With Kind Regards,
      Paris is the city of love, after all, but then the romance lasts even back in the real world - at least, that's how I read this. Lovely!
