It May Not Be What You Asked For

Updated on November 5, 2011

It May Not Be What You Asked For

It may not be what you really wanted,

But God gives you what you truly need.

He may not give you a gorgeous flower,

But He may give you just a little seed.

A seed when given tender loving care

Will flourish, deep rooted and strong..

It is only in full maturity we will see

What God saw and knew it all along.

That God knows best at .times we doubt

If we are His child then have no fear,

For He has seen the completed picture

And to The Lord it is .all so very clear

So just hand your life over to Jesus,

And each problem that comes your way.

You may have to start with a tiny seed .

With Jesus's help it will bloom someday.

Then we will wonder why we ever doubted

When we see what has bloomed at last.

All of those wants we had way back then,

Are withered and dead there in the past!

Sometimes we wonder why we ever doubt

That God will care for us , taking care of

our wants and desires , I don't remember

a promise that all of our wants would be

supplied , only that our needs would be .

I think sometimes we get a little selfish

and think that God would and should

give us our heart's desire , I f we

would just stop and think that God

knows what is before us and He has

a reason why He won't grant the one

thing that we truly want , not '

the future it will become very clear to

you that God truly does know best.If

you are patient we will see there is

something better waiting for you just

past the bend in the road. God knew

it all along!

I like the seed and the flower way you brought this message. I put down some Afican Violet leaves and

cared for them and they sprang forth new plants. It took

a touch of God's hand to make them grow, like the seed that is planted and blooms. I like this. A good job!

      Love, Tessie

Thank You ,Ann. It is good to hear from you.I hope you had a good day . it was nice and sunshiny here but a little chilly no rain and no snow, that is good right now. I am glad you like my poems . I am still digging up some old ones, too , I have a lot of them I saved them for so many years never thinking I would be doing this I guess God knew. He probably just let me save them back for this age ,I hope they do some good . talk later , clara
