' Flower of Heaven '
' Flower of Heaven '

~ Leilani ~

Mysteries from a thousand loves soar thro' a star-strewn fall

T'ward their husbands, wives and those besides, whom heed her seasoned call,

Singing, " Never were thee so wonderful, lo, 'till lips on lips wert stoked;

Oh, ne'er wert ye so beautiful, aye, 'till eyes lay lunar cloaked. "

Pearl of autumn shade which governed darkled ancient heaven,

Consents to swell a princely tide, so aide His week of perfect seven;

Queenly breeze greets Caesar seas,

Thence curtsy 'fore eve's crescent frieze.

Tongues of ocean's cauldron lapped at summer's golden fringe,

As 'ternal wings of morning's vow crept shards of warm, vanilla spring.

Breathing light and lustre throughout antumbrous graveyard hours,

Lifting spirits of flagging fluster bereft of gazing, blooming flowers.

Nowst dusk's enchantment weeps whilst brume be banished afore her land,

As haziness doth sleep 'till Anglian mizzle deploys liquescent band.

Let time depart from heavy hearts left trembling in the cold;

Yea, run to thee, where föhn may flee to arms which will enfold.

Elope with lee, in earnest mists of once upon a rhyme;

Whereth aeons' ambrosial chimes' celeste siroccos make ye mine.

THE END

      Thanks very much Eddy and looking forward to reading some of your newly crafted poetic verses soon. I heard through the grapevine that you are recovering from a poorly shoulder - get well soon and here's to a speedy recovery.

      All the best to you and your family for a healthy week.

      Oh, Dear Romeos,

      12 hours ago! Where have I been and to not see this "Flower of Heaven" poem you have so beautifully written. I love your poetry so much because each time I read it (I do have to read it more than once), I see such subtle nuances beautifully interwoven to make such a creation as you do here in every poem you write. You do write with such passion.

      If we are to live this life, why not live it with passion about life and all that it entails.

      Up ++++ tweeting, pinning, G+ and sharing

      I know what I take from your writing is not what you may have intended, but when I return again, I will take away another delight.

      Blessings across the waves ...

      Beautiful poem and so beautifully written. I love the images you have created with your words. This has a old charm feel to it - sort of like Poe's Annabelle Lee. I enjoyed reading this.

      Hello dear Faith;

      You are welcome to take whatever you like and always appreciate the generosity you show when taking valuable time to come over for a read; couldn't agree more about living life with passion and all that it entails as you so graciously mentioned.

      Thank you for your blessings and for sharing and I hope too, that life showers you with everything that your heart may desire.

      With Warmest Regards;

      R.Q.

      Hi Suzette;

      ( Just retyping this comment ).

      Thank you for your kindness in dropping by and have just had a look for the first time at the poem you mentioned by E.A. Poe, and what a romantically, delightful write it is by such a seasoned and capable legend.

      This one was somewhat inspired by the other night, when a weeping, crescent moon was struggling through a heavy fog as it swept in from the North Sea over the Edison-lit tenements of a chilly English skyline. It was quite other-wordly to witness, not unfitting to the era of which you relayed.

      Thanks again, and enjoy a pleasant evening;

      R.Q.

      I meant the comparison as a compliment. Yours is of course a different poem-I just loved the old charm feel.

      Thanks for coming by again Suzette and the reply was retyped just because of the typos, that's all.

      Thanks for putting me on to a well-crafted verse by Poe, even though the dark overtones seemed to be libelling the celestial beings for the demise of his beloved which I don't agree with, but nevertheless, one can't deny how much of a talented and revered poet he was.

      Have a wonderful remainder of the week;

      Leilani--beautiful word and meaning. You do a great job of presenting the grandeur of our language which we may never see otherwise. I especially like "elope with lee." Of course, I looked up lee. Altogether, a touching love message inspired by Leilani. Thanks.
