~ Lover's Return ~

V1/ One sun-drenched June, by a babbling brook,

Eyes took their prisoner, with just one look.

With glistening hues, of baby grass,

Those innocent orbs, did make a pass.

V2/ As sunflowers, capture the rays above,

You stole my heart, with special love.

Unexpectedly, you are here again,

Enrapturing, with a primrose mane.

V3/ An orchestra, inside my head,

Old words that long to be re-said.

Ivory face, so bold, and free,

That boasts, a flawless symmetry.

V4/ Sugared cherries; forbidden lips,

Cheeks cupped by gentle fingertips.

Triumphant cheekbones, proud, and smiling,

Fringed gaze, that one could run for miles in.

V5/ Streamlined neck, contoured young cygnet;

Smooth as wax, my kiss, your signet.

Aura, of unrivalled fairness,

Deportment, worthy of Royal Highness.

V6/ Ornamental, lady love,

I held your heart, my beautiful dove;

Your Angelic voice, did follow my tune,

One unforgettable, Summer's, afternoon.

THE END

      Hi there,new buddy.Thank you for your marvellous appraisal of the poem. I always thank God for,the ability to write something passable!

      The mystery that is woman .....for good or ill .....I wouldn't want to be without it.

      I like your biography;a very positive outlook on life.I'll take a look at some of your work,soon.

      Peace.

      Sweet Kitty Cat;

      If they're not busy,might this bedazzled beggar borrow a scented kiss from your ruby lips?

      Thenceforth,I could breath in your name,to whisper its' resonance into the proud ear of the Statue Of Liberty,and command that pretender to alight from her lofty perch,as her reign has met its dusk,now that you have arrived.

      Thank you so much.

      This poetical verse was created after burning the midnight oil,and not sleeping until it was finished;the inspiration,I shall leave to your imagination ......

      I am now the proud owner of a pair of knocked-off American socks,which I shall cherish,because they are yours,and shall keep as my reward :)

      .... will read more of your work,tonight.Thanks again.

      P.S. I do hope you didn't take my previous comment too seriously,as I was just feeling playful, in a silly mood,and toying with words.

      Have a lovely day,

      Wow, do you talk like this in real life? :-) It’s too bad this is a language that is almost extinct… so beautiful and you make me blush ;-) Cute too! You stole my heart with your romantic tongue and then had me laughing with the socks comment :-)

      P.S. Never fear how I will take anything… I am not easily offended, besides… you could talk like that forever; beautiful. Also, I apologize… things have been pulling me away from the computer but I am anxious to catch up on any and all of your work… I truly enjoy all of it!

      Yes,I do :)

      I'm so glad you like the writing.You always make me happy.Please don't feel obliged,or compelled to be at the computer;they make fine servants,but I would not wish you to serve under them.

      'Special',is not a good enough superlative to describe you,and I'm glad that I didn't offend you,as it did concern me.

      No, no, it's not a matter of some nagging obligation... I love reading your pieces and it frustrates me to see an email notification that you've published yet another and I haven't the time. I will be reading your work years from now... I'm not going anywhere... I just hope you aren't either :-)

      Thanks so much for your sweet words... I'm truly happy I stumbled across your pages!

      Truly you are Romeos Quill- Had I watched Juliet fall in love with you herself I could not have been more compelled. I love this. Reminds me of the special day I fell in love one Summers night. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of a happier time.
