Loves Illusions

Updated on October 28, 2013

The illusions of life ...loom large when we are linked together ..

then caught.... in the spiral of love or life

which it is, we know not,

feeling only the magnetic pull of circling hearts...

spinning towards their destiny

They are caught, not wanting for this to end..

scared... not to fall in love,

but ready to give it their all and more

if that is what is needed

For need drives all.. to desperation

many times .. one has spread his soul

on a blanket... only to have it pulled

from beneath him

The fantasy... of a real love

is there within your grasp,

reach out for your own illusion...

if you dare

Nice reflection on this concept of love. The photo is a great lead to the poem, illusions are meant to be thought through.

Cleaner. Hello dear bro. I really enjoyed your poetry. I was thinking all the while how God is my source and I can love only because He loved me first. Always seeking not finding until I found Him. I pray that the one true God be found by all. He is our peace. He is IAM. Thank you for writing this. So much food for thought. Keep em coming dear child of God. You are so precious. I love ya cleaner. Skye

Aw, yes, one should never stop searching for the one true love in this life, other than our sweet Lord God, for He does have that one out there for all, and when one does not give up, maybe He will place that one true love right on one's doorstep and it will no longer be an illusion.

I love how you describe the gravitational pull that happens when we feel love towards another one, and that is exactly how it feels to the point one is gravitating to the other. A beautiful thing indeed, like nothing else.

Thank you for this lovely insight here you have written in your poem.

      Up and more and sharing

Lovely poem. Perhaps it is not so illusionary, as elusive until we find it.

“reach out for your own illusion...

      if you dare”

How true, as it is not necessarily an illusion. Beautifully written.

I was singing the song by Judy Collins while I read this beautiful poetry. The perfect way to begin my day, Michael. Bravo!

Michael my friend, I am inspired by this. I think I will lay out more of my life for my loved one today. If she yanks that blanket, that is cool. For I will not let it shatter my illusions.

      Michael,

This is such an excellent poem on so many levels-gravitational and otherwise. A definite vote up my dear sir.
