~~~ Man Shall Prevail ~~~
Updated on May 20, 2013
~ Man Shall Prevail ~
An eerie elegy,laments lachrymal verse;
Future imperfect,flows in perfect dirge.
There is no light,for eyes wax lugubriously blind;
Bereft feelings;crushed,by a scolded love,refuse to ice.
A whirling soul,lost in a whorled whirlpool of forlorn hope.
Death,that died of life,
Penetrates a remorseless,indefinite.
A trillion nights,swallowed whole,by
The leaking vessel of a vengeful soul;
Slice of dark meniscus,betwixt time,which
Dusk,and twilight could never comprehend.
Pandora's box,resolved;a canny riddle dissolves,
To effervesce,amidst the unwelcome tranquility
Of nights reborn.
A fading memory of warmth,
From sweet, invisible caresses, of two tender hearts,
Evoke a broken Angel,who mourns,as the
Sorrowful harvestman scythes a shattered promise,
Behind the grey curtain of a sunless dawn.
      Dark and beautiful at the same time...I love it. As I read this, I was reminded of the soundtrack that I used on my video of "The Ice Queen's Prisoner." Chilling, yet fascinating. That's what came to me. Voted it up!
      Wow, truly... I don't know how you do it. Your words are so eloquently precise. Deep and powerful and full of sorrow.
      Impressed... as always,
      Hey thanks!
      I tried to write something in the same vein as E.A.Poe,as a one-off for a change in emotion,which hopefully,will help to bounce back with more energy towards the Love/Romance Poetry,which I feel is so much more important to write about.
      Have a lovely evening,
      I love Edgar Allen Poe! While I don't know the verses by heart, I do love "The Raven" and "Annabelle Lee" (sp?). Nice change of pace. I'm sure it'll get you bounce back! :D
      Although he's not really my bag,(he was a bit of a shady character in real life),I do respect his poetic talent.
      Oh, look at you with those wonderfully creative words... again :D
      Ah, I'm not worried 'bout you coming over my way... actually compared to your writing, I'd probably just be embarrassed :D
      But you're welcome any time!
      Evocative imagery in your words here.
      I especially liked the last stanza as it seems to relay a full narrative of love, loss and tragedy in just a few lines :)
      Thank you Anna....and you would be one-hundred percent accurate in your perception of the last stanza.Your comments are always welcome.I see you've changed your profile picture(I notice these things,you know lol!).
      Take Care,
      Yours Sincerely,
      It will no doubt be changed back in a couple of days again.
      I can't decide whether having myself or something anonymous is better for this site. I have changed it about twenty times since I joined as it feels a bit deceptive if you are conversing (in comments) with someone and you look like a tree!
      Aren't you perceptive, noticing and teasing out the innermost workings of my mind's rationale :P
      I suppose for someone like yourself who likes to keep things fresh,then change could be a constant for you,my dear.
      I jumped in the deep end when I joined a couple of weeks' ago,and just plastered my fizog on the profile,although some wait for a while,in order to assess security,and trust.
      And sometimes talking to a tree can come as a welcome relief after certain conversations have been had lol!
      I'll have to depart from the caverns of your mind's rationale soon,as the batteries of my torch are running a little low ;P
      My mind and the rest of me had gone to commence the day's work.
      Your shady conversations haven't been with me, so we will all know when someone is on your page with a bonnie tree picture that a bad/sad/glad/mad conversation has been had, with your good self :)
      Hope your batteries have recovered.
      Beautiful poetry here Romeo, as always. You sure have a way with words. (compliment) So much so I have to look up some of your words. Lol
      I did read quite a few of your poems, however I am not online as much as I would like to be. But soon, very soon.
      I would like to get a book of poetry completed and published but reading yours, not so sure.
      Going to try reading a few more.
      Thanks for posting, have a good night.
      Hi Laurie;
      I trust that you're well and thank you for taking time to look at some of the verses here this evening. This one is an oldie!
      If you are thinking of completing a book of poetry for the public then yes indeed, go for it!
      Thank you for your lovely comments and hope that you enjoy a pleasant Thursday night yourself.
      Kind Regards;
      R.Q.
