~ My Very Simple Answer To You ~
* For You - a quickly, cobbled together piece ......hope this ride helps you out - see you on the flip side. *
Once, sky flushed green, lush grass tinged blue,
Then turned around for a clearer view;
Now, jade below and sapphire high,
Been living a topsy-turvey lie.
They said new moon, did rule the day,
Bright sun, the darkest night;
That woman was love, and hate, a man
Whose lives unveiled a certain plan.
It’s all hot air, for no one knows
Where Wisdom lives, nor where she goes.
Poor mentors, spout choice words of shade,
That teach us how to be betrayed,
By trusting in the speech of man,
With many holes inside his plan.
Nothing perfect, nought complete;
Every life is bitter-sweet.
You ask me “Why?”, I vote, “Why not?”,
Let’s give this thing called life a shot.
All I know, we’re drawing breath,
Each gasp, is surely cheating death.
Cake tastes nice, mired Marmite, foul,
Snap jokes that make your loved-one howl;
Kiss her, miss her, whilst you can,
Tomorrow, try being a better man.
Bards and prophets may sprinkle seed,
Singing, “ Love, is all you’ll ever need .”
Too much thinking wears you down,
Replacing smiles with drooping frowns.
Simple folk with grand ideas,
Exacerbate their mind with fears.
Food and shelter; love and leisure;
Every person, seek your measure.
Happiness involves you freely giving,
To feel as though you’re truly living.
Taking’s nice, right time, it should,
Enrich one’s soul, too much, not good,
So work it out, the best you can,
Respect your God and fellow man,
For one day, when we’re dead and gone,
You’ll realize, time, is when we shone.
