~~~ Of the Shadow and the Gray ( Genna East Poetry Challenge ) ~~~
Good morning readers.
Here is a response to a poetic challenge invited by Genna East on HubPages.
The prerequisite is that it can be in any style based upon personal extractions from two videos which she has posted on snowy, winter scenes of survival, man pitted against wolf, but the final offering must comprise no more than eighty words in total.
For this challenge, I've chosen the form of lyrical poetry for their translation, so here goes! Enjoy!
~ White Havoc ~
V1/ As kismet sought crypt 'neath a nigh hoary breath,
Wert it sentient canine, descendant o' Seth;
Niveous flakes punctured times' vagrant wintrous sojourn,
Hiemel slakes, sutured ferns notched by midsummer's burn.
V2/ Nomadic dour frames of proud symmetry,
Prowling frostbitten fates' unquiet synergy;
Tales of sinew and claw to wit, nature's will bends,
Hath advantaged each foe to be nurtured as friends.
(Sixty-one words; excluding title )
♦ Additionally, Genna East has also written her own poem in response to her chosen video material. Here is a link to her Hub of this particular challenge:
Have a brilliant weekend! ♦
