She Was Hit By The Punch Of Love (Poetry)

Updated on December 24, 2015

The Impact of Love is Like A Knocked In Punch

I’m going to use love

For the chance to be yours,

You’d find I’m someone special

Couldn’t find me in stores,

Packing all you need of a good man

At the top of the pack is love,

Just be a loving woman

And what you’re made of,

You’re made precious, pure and sweet

You’re yummy soul mate meat,

Want to make it with you in life

And squash whatever the strife,

Nothing could hold us back

From feeling oh so real,

Do more than loving in the sack

All of our time should be a big thrill,

Let’s do most things together,

Time with the boys out is gone,

I’ve discovered a brand new mellowness,

That I can hang with all day long,

Thanks for letting me relieve you

Of all that past loneliness,

You now have greater things to do

You can please me with loveliness,

I’m taken to a whole new world

Full of nothing but your delight,

I’m finally with my kind of girl

To love you by day and bless you at night

Love is the best of you

Whether you believe it or not,

I guess I must have hit you

With my very best shot.

Lovely poem and a good one to make you feel squishy. I particularly liked the lines "Just be a loving woman / And what you’re made of," which is so apt. Voted beautiful!

Hey Jodah, Thanks for stopping by. I just enjoy writing this kind of stuff. I must really love you all :-). Sometimes, I'll put this stuff it to music. Anyway, when I meet the one who deserves it then I'll write her one and recite it to her. Glad you asked!
