~~~ She Was Legend ~~~
Forbidding nights, conceal collective woes of unrequited love across a sultry land. Undisclosed forays into tattered affections, once valued, now lie of hate-tinged gall.
Swearings of eternal love, lost in a moment of yesteryear; the embers of a passionate dance, fizzled by liquid guilt, dripping with saline regret.
Beauties, diminish their own worth, lost in suspended animation; rebuffed suitors of bland spinsters, dine on ashes, lest a bloody rapier drip with the fetid stench of duelled vengeance.
Emaciated digits clutch at images that paraded times, once so; the spectrum of life, sandwiched between the monochrome of their eidolons.
Sweet – hearted; infernally parted. Lips , that tasted ambrosia, chapped, and cracked; parched, from lack of her heavenly, florid purse. How could he need her so much?
Living inside a giant tear, imperfect secrets flow under burlywood skin. Does the world care for her champagne tresses, and velvet stare?
Violent storms thrash behind optic drizzle, never quenching her presence, still aflame with conflagrant visions; no two days the same, recalling :-
“ Koala clings, eucalyptus tree,
Yea, never, oh never, let go of me;
For where thou ends, and lassie, I start,
‘Twould take light-years, to break apart.
A million souls, couldn’t alter this view,
Nay, warriors, and demons shouldn’t steer me from you.
Unbreakable, now, thy full-bird Colonel,
Thou’ll keep thee safe, within my journal.”
