TRUE LOVE FOREVER
True love
Today it is an important day. Claire is running through the living room, cleaning everything, putting everything back in place. Somebody is coming to visit her. A very important someone, because it's her boyfriend. They've known each other for years, but every time he is coming over, is just as important for her. She straightens the tablecloth while she's looking outside. She is visibly nervous.
But she doesn't have to wait for long. In the distance she sees Mark and her nervous look changes into a radiant one. When Mark comes through the door, he pushes off right away. With a naughty smile he's giving her a kiss while he's looking around him if anyone is watching. She's blushing.
They sit by the window drinking coffee. He's enjoying her smile when he's making a joke; she's enjoying his sturdiness when he's talking. It's like they are wrapped up with each other, like if the world around them doesn't exist.
She makes him a sandwich and starts feeding him one bite at the time. He's enjoying every time her small fingers touch his lips. Another cup of coffee. And before she walks into the kitchen, she gives him another kiss on his cheeks, and he loves it.
Time flies for these two Claire and Mark. They don't want to say goodbye for the day but want to stay with each other. Claire asks him the question with a little hesitation in her voice. "Would you like to stay the night Mark?" His eyes start to sparkle. "I would like that very much Claire".
They leave for the bedroom. No wild night ahead. No, they enjoy each other's company and fall asleep in each other's arms.
Claire wakes up early in the morning. She washes up, dresses herself and walks to the kitchen, making coffee.
Today it is an important day. Claire starts running through the living room, cleaning everything, putting everything back in place. Somebody is coming to visit her. A very important someone, because it's her boyfriend. They've known each other for years, 55 years to be exact. She straightens the tablecloth while she's looking outside. She is visibly nervous.
But she doesn't have to wait for long. In the distance Mark is coming, pushed along by the nurse in his wheelchair and her nervous look changes into a radiant one. The other nurse buttons up Claire's blouse and watches the scene that's going to start. It seems it's going to be another beautiful day for these two people who live on the ward for demented elderly in the nursing home.
