The gradually sudden change

The gradually sudden change
It's so strange, how things can change.
I wouldn't have expected it to have gone this way.
It's not as if it could have stayed the same,
And if I fought for it anyway, wouldn't it be in vain?
See I don't know if I want it to, to tell the truth,
- and if you had to be honest,
Would you say neither do you?
Do you think we've journeyed so far as a means of convenience?
If I put this to you,
could you deny it with vehemence??
No. I think our agreement has been a crutch.
Though now I think it's over
- but not extinguished as such.
See I think you may love me still.
Though is this sheer will, or is it conviction?
How long ago did you give up on the distinction?
Back then we shared hopes, dreams and a future too
- but suddenly we no longer share the same view.
See it's so strange, how things can change.
I wouldn't have expected it to have gone this way...

Excellent! rated up
This poem is great as it draws to mind the fact that there are changes going on inforont of our eyes, as we progress from summer to Autumn. God displays His powers through the gentle changes in nature if only we are aware of our surroundings.
