~~~ Trippin' On You / Perfect Stranger ~~~
Updated on July 7, 2013
~Trippin' On You-A Prelude ~
A burgeoning genesis of new feeling pours forth, from the fountain of the elixir of life, quenching the reality you dream of in this unforgiving world, contorted by its own sordid, intemperate compass.
You offered no apology for blowing my mind; cleaving through ambiguous tension, that was laced with confused offerings of hope, and love, shining through the vortex of lies, which betray a man ,and drive him to unrealistic destinations.
You dispelled the falacious presence of the ghost of Christmas past, and overwrote its memories of hurtful distraction.Your quiet Spirit mocks the haughty, then your simple, honest beauty outclasses the arrogant, who cry ,'Pound away brute,I'm invincible!', then shout, 'Look at me world,and love me!', as they parade through narrow corridors of this silent show, witnessed by the camera's electric eye of indifference, sporting the wisdom of a fool.Those bedazzled, star-struck souls; the slaves of yesterday, never comprehending the present, and respecting not, the forboding awe of the 'morrow.
Our tumultuous words could dethrone, and those ideas, devour gods, and swallow worlds, making courage a stranger to the proud, or we could gently bathe the myriad universe in an unbridled ocean of love ,like the King of the blind, and the Ace of hearts.
Our eyes are master of the horizon; there is nothing witheld from us; we can do anything. We can shine forever, and a day, each of us filling a corner of the world, to make it smile.
We cultivate values in a pitiful world, which has no value for them, yet one day, they will learn, and understand what it means to love unconditionally. No more ' Seek me, break me, hurt me, fake me, love me, leave me. ' A new world, where crimes of the heart are punished by their own reflection, and loving reality becomes the fragrant order of the day.
~ Perfect Stranger ~
* ♥ SONG ♥ *
VERSE
ONE/ I first saw your face, before dawn’s early light,
You were strumming six strings, it was love at first sight;
Girl, you just didn’t care ‘bout the public’s view;
I was stood there, alone, enraptured by you.
VERSE
TWO/ Honey braids, and glasses, adorning your head,
I was paralyzed by you, I thought I was dead;
My heart started racing, like a runaway train,
If I left you right then, I’d have gone insane.
CHORUS/
Now, you’re funny, and sexy; intelligent too;
Baby, you’re just too good to be true.
A vision of woman, leaving girls in her shade;
A blossoming dream, that just had to be made.
VERSE
FOUR/ Turning winter into summer, as I lie on my bed;
I think of all the wonderful things, that you’ve said.
I’m a flesh-coloured statue; frozen, it’s true;
All for the love, which I hold , for you.
Transfixed, by your voice, I could hearken, forever;
To leave, I know now, is a foolish endeavour.
VERSE
FIVE/ Be silent; listen; think, then do;
Whisper your thoughts, and give me a clue.
Trinkets of courage, will determine your plight,
To ward off the flurry, of dangers that blight.
REPEAT CHORUS
VERSE
SIX/ You know, nature’s laws, take second place,
To the greed, of man’s inhuman race,
So come fly with me, my only love,
To the ethereal heights, of the heavens, above.
FIN
      Oh, it's like getting two for the price of one... wait, except they're free to read. These are beautiful, as usual. I can almost imagine the song being sung. You should make a YouTube video of yourself singing it :)
      Have a fantastic night, and thanks for sharing this with us.
      Hey Kathryn!
      Many thanks for dropping in for a quickie; I'd love to sing, and play it to the right woman, although my singing leaves a lot to be desired :)
      You're so kind, so thank you, and I did make a few vids, last year, but with no singing - mainly tutorials for playing The Beatles songs, and various other artists.
      It's a pleasure to share, and you too have an exciting evening.
      Best wishes,
      R.Q.
      I'll take that grin, and raise you a big cheesy smile :0)That's always good news WL, and I'm glad for you. :)Your talented writing carries itself on it's own merits, so if the right kind of folk drop by, your views should go meteoric.
      Hi Romeo "Trippin on you" carries such movement, very realistic, great ending, these lines are moving........ We cultivate values in a pitiful world, which has no value for them, yet one day, they will learn, and understand what it means to love unconditionally. No more ' Seek me, break me, hurt me, fake me, love me, leave me. ' A new world, where crimes of the heart are punished by their own reflection, and loving reality becomes the fragrant order of the day.
      Well, Hi there mabelhenry;
      Those are the days I live for, because without love, nothing seems to make any sense.People everyday, being pulled in a hundred different directions, which seem to offer nought, but vexation of the spirit.
      Thanks for your insightful commentary, which means a great deal, because you are so Faithful, and your own beautiful verse is always engaging, thought-provoking, and uplifting.
      Enjoy a lovely evening;
      Love, and Kind Regards,
      Dear mabelhenry;
      I had no idea that you had written a book called ' Crescendo Of Praises ', By Mabel Elizabeth Henry, and only found out through curiosity :)
      I've taken a look at the sample you have given, and it looks fascinating, and would be happy to purchase soon.
      Your humility is truly an example to us all.
      Yours Sincerely,
      Romeo's Quill
      Thank you Romeo for your encouraging words, I am elated to know that you will purchase the book soon and that you can deem humility an example. I love Jesus! It looks like you should be getting ready to write a book of poetry very soon, as well. (smile)
      I like how your poetry needs to be read really carefully to even attempt to understand it!
      The first half was very beautiful. I read it as transending human love and being of deeper things.
      The song flowed so smoothly. I felt it was about a mortal love, albeit one who had shed the shackles of trying to fit in and chasing empty prizes in an attempt to feel whole. Which would link it very nicely to the first half. Although I am probably way off course.
      Very skillfully written.
      Good afternoon mabelhenry;
      After paying those seemingly, never-ending bills, I shall be on the case lol! :)
      Indeed., you are a fine example, and spiritual women are the best.Writing was something I took up just over a year ago, and I've been fortunate to have had ten poems published so far, and was recently chosen, along with fifty-two others from a pool of sixty-six thousand other poets, to appear in a new diary for 2014, so I thank Goid for having being given such a rare opportunity.I shall look forward to reading the tome penned by your own fair hand, and to answer your comment, I would love to write a book, but would like to avoid vanity publishing, and e-book publishing, as I believe that a proper publishing house should carry a worthy book, as deemed by a professional editorial panel.(smile back :)
      I hope you have a wonderful, and peaceful Sunday in Pennsylvania, and many thanks for stopping by - I certainly appreciate it.
      Kind Regards,
      Romeo's Quill
      Hi Anna!
      You are very close indeed. Briefly,the prelude, was a combination of musings, and visions, looking towards a better future, now that a beautiful woman is on the scene, to be a help, to give the future more meaning by her presence, and both, looking through perfect eyes which neither of them have yet obtained, and the song is praising the charms of her who has made life blossom once more, and has filled his heart with special love, and meaning once more.
      Thanks for your very thoughtful commentary, and it's good to have you here!
      All the best to you, and lovely weekend wishes for you;
      Yours Sincerely,
      R.Q.
      Dear Faith Reaper,
      It it wasn't for wonderful people like yourself, I would rapidly run out of reasons to continue writing.Your poetry is always a treat to read ,and have a great breadth of understanding in your words, which are all the more fascinating, as they are written by such a tender, and true heart.
      Thank you for your again, uplifting and thoughtful remarks, which earthly treasures could never match.
      Enjoy a, hopefully, relaxing evening in the Beautiful South.
      With Love, and Warm Regards,
      I came back for a second look, although I forgot I had made a first comment.
      This time it takes on a new meaning.
      One the story is a book on its own, and the song wow, if you don't sing you really should get someone to play and publish it.
      Too bad Elvis has passed I can hear him singing it. I can picture it being sung as a raspy/blues, a gospel and a soft love song all of what Elvis did. Lol
      Gorgeous pictures. Love the blue eyeglasses.
      Anyway beautiful
      Blessings
      Hi Laurie;
      Don't you just hate it when you sing along to the radio and the artist gets the words wrong? :)
      You can come back any time you like. If you can sing, you're welcome to use this one and interpret it in a style of your choosing; if so, it would be a pleasure to hear you do so.
      Unfortunately, we're not all blessed with the pipes of Presley but it's interesting how you could envisage him crooning along to this simple number.
      Thank you for your lovely remarks on the Hub and the pics and glad that you liked them - the shot you particularly like is my favourite too.
      Look forward to reading your own recently published musical article.
      Warm Regards;
      R.Q.
      Lol well no I can't sing, but I try.
      However I seem to have a knack for picking good singers, their tone and pitch and what not.
      I am quite picky, I would make a good Simon Cowell but nicer lol.
      Anyway I do think you should work on getting it published.
      Have a good day
      Laurie
