~ Wednesday ~

Purple streaks, across the sky; Evening gone, today passed by. Sombre tones of reddish-blue, Invite the day to spring, anew. Casually, the sun ascends; The warmth on which we all depend. Canvas in the heights, above; Black to white, with magic love. Font of blue and white appears To banish all your nightly fears. Chirping robins',chorus sung; Makes the old folks feel so young. Mauves, and teals, and colours unknown, Wave their masts, when winds are blown; Drifting smoke, above the chimney, Lifts the spirit, that dwells within me. Moans, and groans, and aching bones; Trundle, over cobbled stones. Doggy's sick,it's such a pity; Present found, from dirty kitty. Children rise without a care, Burning toast is in the air. Neighbours stirring,T.V.'s blaring, Wondering, what clothes to wear. Brushing teeth, and combing hair; Pressed for time,we should be there. Clocks revolve,to well-past eight, Your bus arrives,we can't be late ....

It's difficult trying to inject enthusiasm into the middle of the week,or 'hump day',as I think some folks call it,over in your country. Is that right,or is it just a strange expression used by people from Tennessee?(nearly split my sides when I first heard it - thought that it was some kind of national 'Get jiggy with it' day - Hey!now there's an article in the making - something like ' Unusual Phrase and Parlance From Around The Globe? .'Anyway;I digress.

I haven't got any kids myself, but have had tonnes of practice, being brought up in a large family, and having lots of nieces and nephews to break me into the parenting routine, for inspiration with perspiration!I take my hat off to you mothers.

Thanks again,Cat for your appreciation;I'll never take it for granted.

Ah, how fitting for the day I had... this day, Wednesday was a beautiful one, the first one of it's kind since this time last year. And then... there are the thoughts of the morning to come. Your tomorrow morning sounds like the morning I had today. Pushing a kid out the door while chucking a backpack at her as the bus came screeching up!

      Up and Awesome, of course.
