~~~ Words Cannot Express ... ~~~
Updated on June 8, 2013
~ Words Cannot Express... ~
Pitched sounds, are drowned,
Heavy drapes, be drawn;
Love's absence, arrives,
Jealous nights, reborn.
Nostalgic aroma,
Emanates chiffony blouse;
A perfumed reminder,
Of memories doused.
To bury one's head,
In those ruffles, upon;
And weep, into tokens, of
Belle, who has gone.
The weeks just roll on, and
Long months, they pass by;
Only missing you, in days,
That end with a ' Y '.
Crystalline drops,
Dripping, " Wish you were here ";
Explode on the ground,
One for every year.
Hazed, moonlit dusk,
Danced upon your eyes,
Christmas past,
When you lay next to me;
Twinkled tears, rolled forth,
From a star-sparkling glance,
In the sweet surrender
Of our ecstasy.
      Fresh or not, something as beautiful as this should be shared.
      I dug this one out from the bottom of the pile I wrote a while back, but decided to publish anyway, although I prefer to write fresh, every day if possible.Thanks for you comments, and glad that it appealed to you.
      Yours Truly,
      This is painfully beautiful! Most was sad and I could feel the heartache through the words but this;
      'Only missing you, in days,
      That end with a ' Y ' ~ this is adorably sweet!
      Nice touch with the song too!
      Love it Romeo!
      Yours Truly,
      Cat
      Thanks Kathryn; I thought that the video might accentuate the desperate momentum induced by the writing.I appreciate you dropping by. : )
      Have yourself a top weekend!
      Yours Sincerely,
      R.Q.
      Aww, so pretty, but sad :(
      The song really adds to the feel. I actually didn't know it was Abba that sang this song. It used to play at the store I work at, so it gets stuck in my head sometimes.
      Have a good evening, R.Q.
      Thank you, Anna for your your kind comments, and you cleverly picked up on the exact kind of image I was attempting to relay.
      I've just read your newest poetic verse, ' Her Strange New World ', and it is beautiful;well done! : )
      Enjoy a peaceful weekend;
      Yours Sincerely,
      Yes. Minnesota does share a border with Canada so, yes, it's been quite dark over the last few days. Oh, well...that means more writing. :D
      Isn't your state on the border with Canada? You probably share a lot of the same weather.The last few days have been the best sunny days we've had here in quaint old England, but at the moment, it's a little bit dreary, so like you, just makes more time for socializing indoors, and writing.
      You have the words of a true romantic poet RQ.
      I really liked the air of nostalgia running through this. The chiffon, perfume, heavy drapes and the name Belle. It harked back to a love lost many years ago that was never recovered from.
      Sad but good evocative imagery; it was almost like a black and white movie. Very nice :)
      LOL! It's a rainy day here in Minnesota so I've been occupying myself with reading and writing hubs! Hope your weather is better than mine!
      This was sad, indeed, but beautiful at the same time. It was heartfelt and sweet. Voted it up!
