~~~ God Of Second Chances ~~~
Updated on April 19, 2016
V1/ When all, that is beauty, delights in life,
From a cradled baby, to a dutiful wife, and
Seraphim Kings, with Angel wings,
Hold lilies of white, define the light,
To frame the now, by permanent vow, then
Golden boughs brush lofty brow.
Mort graves yawn wide, victorious fraternity,
Defeat, in jaws of clenched eternity;
Unlocked keyholes, which welcome thee,
Thy tumblers fall, via skeleton key.
V2/ Though troubled world of sweet disguise,
Unfurls, behind her needy eyes,
In tunnels of time, lead caverns divine,
Yields doting flower, with secret signs, that
Never fade, in everglades,
As silken lies mask frenzied sighs, like
Angled storms which drown the air, as
Crying skies match her despair, of
Sleepless nights, and tired ligaments,
Playing mother, to her own mundane predicaments.
V3/ Blushes, tears; tempestuous fears,
Too much, for her, his manly sears.
In fleeting scenes, of blurred-out dreams,
Of life, in multi-coloured schemes.
Her heart, so black, and page, so white,
Could ink typeset her soul alight?
When drum bleeds red, the page fills blue,
With hopes that quickly rode askew.
V4/ Heart-breaks, mistakes, failed wedding re-takes;
Unwanted wives, who’ve ruled nine lives.
Sad rhythmic box taps out its beat,
Poor lonely, shifts, upon her seat, of
Emptiness, abysmal squalor,
Sharp growing pains, in which she wallows.
V5/ Crushed diet of crumbs, for aching hearts,
Soak aqua drops, whilst lovers part.
Starvation, of her soul, imposing, with
Silence, as the weapon chosen.
Can’t grasp the past, and hold not, nought,
Never greater, than even your highest thought,
So wake up now, not then, or later,
To live, my loved tergiversator.
      Pleased to make your new acquaintance in HP land Rayne123, and many thanks for such engaging, and uplifting remarks. You seem such a warm and generous person, and am grateful that you have sailed by to read some of the verse on offer. The ones one this sight have not been offered for publication - these ones were just scribed since I've been on here over the past few months. Thank you so much - been spoilt today :)
      Yours Sincerely,
      Romeo's Quill
      You're very welcome AUPADHYAY, and without those 'second chances', I feel that the relationship between man and woman, ( barring unfaithfulness, of course ), could never survive the long haul, as the midnight of the soul of the woman portrayed in this piece is experiencing, amongst other things.
      Thank you, and hope that life is good for you in Kanpur City.
      Best Wishes,
      R.Q.
      Dear Kim,
      Happiness for a woman, I feel, should be the primary concern for any husband to his wife, and time spent upon its fulfilment, and refinement should never be a waste.Hopefully, such a woman could find it in her heart to do the same for her cherishing man.
      Thanks, as always Kim - you are such a dear woman, and I return in like manner those abundant wishes and expectations for a great weekend.
      Warm Regards,
      R.Q.
      RQ,
      You have done it again. It is as if you have this inner sense, this understanding of the opposite sex. A true Renaissance Man for the modern-day goddesses. SO many great lines. Voted Up/Awesome.
      Wishing you a great weekend,
      Kim
      ' Cationary' ! haha! Always happy to add to your catalogue, my Hub Queen, and I'll put money down that you could probably sail through the rest of your life quite comfortably, never using that word again. Speak in a bit.
      You know Anna, that is really kind of you to say so and is encouraging because I know that your work is highly reflective of the talent of its gracious authoress - glad you recognized the change in pace to lend a more concentrated fervour of urgency from that time onwards. Shall certainly look forward to any new pieces you may share in the future.
      Meantime, I wish you a lovely evening;
      Very artistic use of words on this R.Q. You really do have the heart and voice of a poet.
      I especially liked the fourth stanza. It seemed to speed up and create urgency before your finale. Very clever.
      Pardon the delayed response HappyMike, but I just received your comment.
      I'm usually always inspired by a woman, especially if I see some of my writing in her work - I find that quite special. And I've talked to others about this - some ' suffer ', from an overflow of ideas, whilst others have a fertile period of output, followed by a drought of inspiration, but doesn't usually last too long.When the heart or mind is particularly happy, or troubled, then an outflow can rupture full of new things. I hope your day has been good so far, thanks for reading, and you're welcome.
      All the Best,
      R.Q.
      @ Faith Pardon me ...it is indeed four-hundred characters, not words, so you're right that folk could write a shorter verse and still have it accepted ( probably not Haiku though, unless you write many in one article, as you did in one of your sensational Hubs :)
      Thanks for the heads-up Mrs. Fabulous, and hugs back to you.
      Oh, I read that the minimum is only 400 characters not actual words! Which is even shorter and faster. One could publish many shorter poems very quickly, for one as proficient as you at writing poetry.
      Hugs, Faith Reaper
      Dearest Skye,
      You must be busy writing, so thank you for taking time out to send such thoroughly wonderful, and hearty comments. Searching, and finding indeed, and then when having found, the insecurities from her side that come with a new relationship, and breaking some old negative mindsets instilled into her by uncaring men....feels like full-time work. However, without doubt, you always fill my heart with your abundant kindness dear sis. Sending that love, and many hugs back to you Skye - you're so wonderful, and thank you for your generosity in sharing.
      Romeos Wow. I love your poem and I read it several times. The pictures are very nice and add warmth to the love this dear woman longs for now. Past is gone, future not here. I think when we do not look it comes. Deep poem and it touches my heart and reminds me of when I was searching. Finding, getting, letting go. starting anew. Growing pains are just that they hurt but are necessary for growth.
      I was going to look up the word 'tergiversator' but in reading our precious Faith Readers comment, I got it. Living in the here and now. Oh wow ties up the poem quite nicely and the poem gives away the meaning of the word. Make sense? Really clever bro. Lovely, just lovely. Love ya dear brother. You are so talented. Talk about artistic! Hugs galore Romeos Quill. Skye
      shared in fb and hubs and honored to do so.
      It's true that there is a lot of inferior posts being offered as a ' Bubble ', and hack writing, but poetry, if posted quite late in the day, tends to gain a fairly respectable viewing audience. The minimum word submission requirement is four-hundred words, though the layout is not as professional-looking as Hub Pages, but fiscally, one can do quite well if you have the stickability of posting many, and often. I'll be sure to check out that Hub article written by Billybuc which you have kindly mentioned.
      Warm Regards,
      R.Q.
      Oh, good to know, and I do hope you will continue to hope over to HP Town, and I may check it out over there for it is said to be good for quick posts. They may be friendly to the poets there? Plus one can earn a lot more, but it seems to be more of a social thing with a lot of bad writing too as anyone can click and earn, so just spending time clicking and earning whether or not the content is actually good, not your contest obvious, which is excellent. Billybuc has written an article on it this morning.
      Hugs, FR
      @ Faith
      I'm glad that the chair-stacking solution is working - and the thought of tiny wrestling with the foil and embracing it like an old friend, when he should be terrified of it, is just creasing me up :) He'll probably be ready for the great outdoors by then, as you say. Well, I thought I'd give it a try( Bubblews ) to see what all the fuss was about, so yes, I'm up and down with both sites, and it's actually pretty good - some decent people, and interesting articles of all descriptions on there. Thank you Faith and
      Hugs back to you,
      LOL, yes it is indeed mysterious HP Town!!! Yes, I am well this day, and hope you are too! Thank you for asking. Yes, kitty loves the foil LOL, and I cannot go back and comment such on my question LOL, they must have changed the questions where one can only comment once. I did do the chair stack and that worked, for he is so small now, but what about when he grows, hopefully, he will like being outdoors then, which most do so.
      I just love how you use words and your choice of words is refreshing and never boring! I guess a lot are trying out Bubblews, are you going back and forth as writinglover is too?
      Hugs, Faith Reaper
      Dearest Faith Reaper,
      Bullseye! You got it in one. Sometimes they need a gentle nudge if the coffee doesn't work lol! Couldn't resist throwing a chunky word in there, but you're so intelligent, considering the profession you're in, you already know plenty, I'm guessing. I really hope you are well within yourself Faith, and that Mr. Kitty is behaving and not using the kitchen foil as an emergency space blanket lol!
      Thanks a million for stopping by, as you always leave one richer than when one first logged on,into this mysterious HP town.
