Wedding Planner Books For Brides, Grooms And Mothers
Here you will find a great choice of wedding planner books, wedding journals, checklists, organizers and books on wedding planning in general, especially if you want to plan the entire wedding on your own. Planning your wedding the right way will ensure its success, and with a bit of luck and creativity, it can be the wedding that everyone will speak about.
But luck is merely not enough. You have to organize the perfect wedding, everything has to be just right so that you will preserve those wonderful memories for a lifetime.
Some people like to hire a wedding planner and coordinator and avoid all the headaches that come with DIY planning, while for others this is the fun part: knowing that you've had your say through the whole wedding from start to finish. And let's not forget costs: buying a few wedding planner books and following their lead in organizing the wedding is definitely cheaper than hiring a real person to do the thinking for the big event - especially in the tough economic times of today.
So if you're one of these people - for one reason or another - feel free to browse through these wedding planners and choose the ones that speak to you the most.
Wedding Planners And Organizers
Tying the Knot: The Complete Wedding Organizer
Tying the Knot is a actually one of the best wedding organizers there is available today. Granted it's not the most recent book, yet it has some timess information, tips and ideas that brides all over the world can make good use of when planning their wedding.
One thing I like about this book is that it's a real planner: it's a 3 ring binder whereby you can turn pages with ease, and even take relevant pages out (and pop them back again once you're done with them). A great organizer if I've ever seen one. The book has over 100 pages chock full of planning info that should help organize the perfect wedding.
The other thing I like about this wedding planner is that it's so much more than just tips and ideas. You can actually keep in here pretty much everything you need (or want) re. your wedding: pictures of dresses, cakes and interior decors, personal data that you need if you're traveling abroad for your honeymoon, checklists and so much more. It's really an indispensable companion for the perfect wedding.
The Brides Essential Wedding Planner
The Brides Essential Wedding Planner is another great book on planning the perfect wedding. And again, it's so much more! As it also a binder, you can add your own personal things in it, which makes it invaluable in organizing a wedding.
One thing is possibly lacking is lots of pictures and photos, however I'm sure that you'll be looking at other places for those, for example on Pinterest or magazines, etc, so I don't really find this a big minus.
Btw, this planner is great as a gift for a to-be-bride, especially an independent one who likes doing things by herself.
The Bride's Book of Lists: Things to Do & Questions to Ask
By the folks who brought you The Brides Essential Wedding Planner, here is another great book for brides, an invaluable one at that. It has a checklist for pretty much anything related to a wedding. In fact, if you're organizing your wedding, this is the perfect companion book to the previous one - even if it's for a gift to another bride to be.
The Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer
Here comes another book that is perfect for planning your dream wedding: The Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer. It has lots of great ideas, tips and guides that help you get over the 'hurdle' with ease. It is a 3 hole binder, but beware: it's quite heavy. What I like about is that it also comes with a section with a starter kit on scrapbook for treasuring your keepsakes after the wedding and throughout your family life.
Also it has a section on how to do budget weddings and save money in the process as well. In the times of today - quite invaluable!
A Bride's Book: An Organizer, Journal, and Keepsake for the Year of the Wedding
A Bride's Book: An Organizer, Journal, and Keepsake for the Year of the Wedding is yet another planner, organizer and journal for the perfect DIY wedding. It is also great for a wedding planner to polish up on their knowledge and get great ideas.
Unlike one of the previous books presented above, this one has lots of lush and romantic photos and pictures on flower arrangements and bouquets, along with lots of checklists and even instructions on how to do the floral bouquet featured on the cover of the book.
Includes tips on budgets, time management and it is perfect as an engagement gift.
Very Best Wedding Planner Organizer
Very Best Wedding Planner Organizer - might not the "THE" very best, but it's a darn good one for its purpose. Written by the creators of the popular wedding social networking site WedSpace.com, it has quite a lot of useful information on everything related to wedding planning: checklists, guidance and tips, color swatches, useful Top 10 sections, a wedding kepsakes journal for recording those special moments and treasuring them for later, wedding photos for guidance and many, many more.
It has some great dividers (something that many other similar planners don't have), however it does lack something important to planners: extra sections to store things like magazine pics, papers, personal ideas, stuff that one gets from the internet and other places. This is why I do prefer some of the above planners. However except this lack of features, it's quite a good organizer, IMHO.
Simple Stunning Wedding Organizer: Planning Your Perfect Celebration
Here is the second edition of the popular Simple Stunning Wedding Organizer: Planning Your Perfect Celebration, which is even better than the previous edition. It is a cute one, however it's a bit smaller than the typical organizers. However despite its smaller size, it's really a pretty one, and quite useful at that.
The sections are nicely laid out, with lots of great information (many that you already knew, while others quite new to you). It has the usual pockets for holding 'stuff', and it also has extras like business card holders, and place to hold personal information that are needed throughout organizing the wedding.
A neat little book, perfect for an engagement gift.
The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner: Worksheets, Checklists, Etiquette, Calendars, and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner is a neat wedding organizer including checklists, all kinds of worksheets, calendars, tips on saving money and organizing the perfect wedding.
The book is written by the editor of the popular website theknot.com, which is all about weddings, thus the planner has definitely lots of useful info. Warning though: some people had quite negative reactions to the book in their reviews, so read the actual buyer reviews with care before purchasing. It might be for you, it maybe it won't.
The Complete Wedding Planner & Organizer
The Complete Wedding Planner & Organizer is yet another book on organizing and planning that perfect wedding the DIY way. It has the usual 3 ring binder that makes it easy to remove and add pages to it, and it has the back cover pocket that allows adding all those important, useful and fun documents that are invaluable for any weddings.
The thing is, when all is said and done, pretty much all planners are quite the same. So when choosing the right planner for you, it's best to see exactly which features you want more than others and go with that choice. If you want a binder, this is one of those perfect planners for you. Of course, it's also great for an engagement gift.
Fimark's My Keepsake Wedding Planner
Fimark's My Keepsake Wedding Planner is actually quite a new wedding planner, published this year. Written by a couple with over 30 years of wedding planning and ceremony officiating experience, the book brings some interesting things to the table. It has some great checklists, seating charts, tips on the wedding gowns and tuxedos for the groom, budgeting tips, fun activities for the couple for before and after the wedding, offers task coordination tips and much more.
It also has the extra place for scrapbook keepsakes, to make the planner something to go through again and again over a lifetime.
Wedding Planning Tips
The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day
While it's not a 'planner' per se, this is a book that has it all about planning a wedding. It is full of tips, guidance and ideas on how to go about doing it the right way from start to finish, regardless of the size of the wedding.

Great book on planning your wedding with ideas on best ways to find an affordable wedding venue, dealing with the (boring) logistics of a wedding, gives inspiration and words of wisdom, in short everything you need to plan a wedding if you're doing it yourself without relying on a professional wedding planner. Highly recommended.

The Big White Book of Weddings: A How-to Guide for the Savvy, Stylish Bride
As the title says, it's a big book on planning and organizing a lush, stylish wedding. Plenty of useful tips to follow and it's great on the eyes too. Not a bad book, in my opinion.
Specially For Grooms And Mothers
Groomology: What Every (Smart) Groom Needs to Know Before the Wedding
When planning the perfect wedding, never leave out the groom and mothers (on both sides!) else you'll live to regret it for the rest of your life. Here are some great books for the groom and for mothers (and soon to be mother in laws) that will make them feel important, useful and part of the plan. Perfect for wedding plans.
Groomology shows the way for him on how to help with the wedding, how to plan and be part of the entire thing. It's an invaluable resource for every groom who is about to get married. Also makes for a great gift.
The Groom's Instruction Manual
A great read for any groom, especially if it's their first wedding. It helps with the actual proposal and early engagement process, and it's a funny book as well (gives quite a few chuckles while reading and lightens the mood considerably). Well worth getting.
The Mother of the Groom: Everything You Need to Know to Enjoy the Best Wedding Ever
The groom's mother should feel that she is an integral part of the entire wedding, from planning to bringing it to fruition. This book helps any groom's mom on what to do, how to plan and how to help with the wedding. Another great gift idea!
