10 Reasons to go to the Beach

Every breezy at the beach feels cool.

Walking on the beach

We leave behind

Footprints in the sand

Carried by waves

To another shore

Another time

You can’t count

The grains of sand

On a beach

But you can

Count sunsets

Too much time

At the beach

Is not enough Time

The beach won’t

Make you younger

But it will

Keep you young

The sun, the sky

The breeze, the sand

The beach

No place like it

How much time

Does it take

To make a sand castle

Just enough

The beach is not

The fountain of youth

The rhythm of the water

Is the rhythm of the beach

Forever changing

Forever the same

The time you spend

At the Beach

Doesn’t count

As time spent

The beach

Take it with you

It’s a state of mind

Come to the beach

We will wait for you

Ok, I know, that was more than 10. I must have been on beach time.

The beach is one of those places where each person finds what they need and leaves the rest for others.

I've always lived at the beach and surfed them all over the world.. and I must say that you haven't yet touched the surface of reasons why... perhaps you can create some more cool poems like this on this special place! I have also found a lot of my poetry at the beach.... nice work.. thanks for sharing your feathered friends and a glimpse of a place I could get lost in.. cheers.. take care.

I loved reading this. Brought back memories of walking on the beach in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Thanks for the memories!

      Hello, GNelson,

Because I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I closely identify with this wonderful work of art.

I love the beach and this terrific post reminded me of just how much I realy do love it.

Voted up and beautiful, GNelson. I've always had a deep connection with the beach. I love sitting in the sand and letting it run through my fingers. I also love floating in the water, letting the waves crash by...there's something magical about the beach and everyone should love it!

There is no need for a reason to love the beach! A very lovely poem about it, very reflective and beautifully worded. Voted up and beautiful!
