Ode To Another Year

Updated on October 23, 2015

As another year is now history, introspection is in order.

How do we judge whether a year in our lives has been a success... by our accomplishments, our wealth, our personal development or just pure survival (I'm still alive and kickin', thank goodness)? Personally, at this point in my life, external factors, the car I drive, the clothes I wear, the house I live in, or any other material possessions mean very little. The true measure? The real answer lies deep in my soul. You have to delve deeply and ask very simple questions.

Am I a better human being?

Am I a stronger person emotionally?

Is the passion still there?

Does the future hold opportunity?

Am I willing to pursue them with boundless energy and enthusiasm?

I can assure you, the answer to all these questions is a resounding... Yes, Yes and Yes!!!

Here's to an equally successful and inspirational 2015 to all... Ciao!!!

The Beauty Of Being

Every day is a joy. Bounce out of bed, get your bearings, let your head clear, and realize that the world is at your doorstep, waiting to be explored. The possibilities are infinite. Let your mind wander, no negativity allowed here, let creativity explode. Your attitude changes, that's understandable.Today's a gift, use it wisely! A twenty-four hour playground. Tomorrow is irrelevant and yesterday is a memory, gone forever.

Your goal is to make today special. The mundane is not acceptable. Get excited. Put your child-like curiosity to use, be bold, expand your knowledge, utilize your talents. Today's a blank canvas. No expectations, no preconceptions, no concrete obligations, just live responsibly. It's yours to create a masterpiece. So, energize, explore. There are no limits, be amazing. We all have the ability.

Dig deep and manifest your genius!

Springs Message

Revitalization. The buds are blooming. Reacting to natures call... flowering, growing, strengthening.

Spring into life!!! Plant new seeds, nurture them with love, understand their uniqueness, monitor their growth. Be amazed at what manifests itself. Why can't we continue to evolve? Because we trap ourselves in the everyday mundane things in our lives. Instead of doing what really matters. Finding our purpose and potential. It's all about discovery and development. Understand that the power of the universe is at your disposal. Use it wisely and meaningfully. And the rewards await. But take action, don't expect delivery.

A New Year of No Compromise

Principles... Be uncompromising. Beliefs... Don't waver. Trust... Have faith. Use your instincts. Listen to your heart. Knowledge... Learn and grow.

Here's what's important in 2015 to live a meaningful life:

Goals for the New Year:

1) Become more social . Network. Make new friends. Interact. Participate.

2) Live confidently, no fear or doubt . Develop your spirituality and believe.

3) Create wealth. Find resources that add value and independence to your life.

4) Keep developing your true self . Who and what you really are all about. Accept and love yourself.

5) Make opportunities . They don't just drop in your lap. Discover... Explore... take action.

6) Improved Health and fitness . Moderation with wisdom.

7) Realism . Seek the truth and acknowledge the result. Good or Bad.

New Years Resolutions

Do you establish goals for the new year?

See results

A Year of Enlightenment

Incredible year. Revealing year. Challenging year. A year of discovery. A year of searching. A year of experimenting. Success. Failure. Enjoyment. Introspection. Appraisal. Concerns. Questions. Answers? Some but not all. A year of looking for my true self. Finding some pieces of the puzzle. Not through yet. A year of independence.

A year of interdependence. Thank You! A year of responsibility and irresponsibility. More of the former than the later in 2014. Never thought I'd take it this far. Mind blowing but proud of my strength and courage.

Happy New Year!!!

All the best

kimberly, this hub is kind of my journal for 2010. It started as a New Years resolution Hub, with goals and aspirations. Then, I decided to chronicle my progression through the year (i.e. Spring's Message, Beauty of Being). I think I need a fall addition. What do you think? Good to see ya! Thanks kim, Ciao!

um Jal, just a few things, the gift of life, is that a certificate and can it be redeemable for cash?

My goals for 2010, are really staying true for me, I promised myself not to make any goals, I just simply cannot play, and here in Canada, hockey is pretty big deal.

Lastly, I am a few days late but Happy New Year, your hub is inspiring, motivating and truly smart. I could care less what time of year it is, these goals are ones that I for sure relate to, and will hang near me as a reminder and motivational message much needed.

      cheers retweeter

Awe Jai, What a beautiful and clear truth. I know who I am, have spent a few years running and hiding from me as it seemed fitting with society and it's expectations and yet have found my way back embracing who I am peacefully. Life is good. This is great stuff, found it both interesting and detailed. Thanks for delivering

A Year of Enlightenment. Thanks and Peace :)
