Updated on February 7, 2013

This hub is for non native English who wants to start writing English. In this hub you will learn secret that I often used for writing English. Altough my English not too good.

To the point, here are the secret. First, write simple sentences. Second, write short paragraph. And the last, create descriptive article.

In any language, simple sentences consist of 3 elements. They are Subject + Predicate + Object. You already learn it from elementary school. With those element, you can write any kind of article.

The most confusing for non native English is about tenses. Don't worry about it. From 16 English tenses that exist, understanding Simple Present Tense is enough. Of course you must keep learn to increase your skill.

Writing simple sentences is easy. Three or four word already will be a sentences. Like article you read now. It is consist of simple sentences too. So try writing some simple sentences now. And you will know it is really easy.

Second technique is create short paragraph. Don't write paragraph too long. Because it make reader boring. And also makes eye strain. A paragraph have purpose to make an article easy to read. If you write long paragraph, its difficult to read.

Just write 3-5 sentences in one paragraph. It is easy and fun. The most important is reader understand the message you try to say. Not how long the paragraph you write.

And the last technique is write descriptive paragraph. Writing descriptive paragraph is easy. Because just explain what you already know. Don't try to write about you don't know.

Create 3-4 list topic for your article. Explain the topic in some paragraph. Do it until all topic done.

There is a formula to write descriptive article more easy. The key of formula is located in first or beginning paragraph. Tell what the topic you will write. First or beginning paragraph is like table of content.

Then, in next paragraph you start explain each topic you already write in the first or beginning paragraph. And so on until the last topic. List of topic in first paragraph can help you to avoid dead end in writing.

Here is a example of formula to create descriptive article.

If you looking for article about bla bla bla, this article may help you. In this article, you will find [topic 1] [topic 2] [topic 3]

[Paragraphs explanation for topic 1]

[Paragraphs explanation for topic 2]

[Paragraphs explanation for topic 3]

[Closing statement/conclusion]

The point of formula is you must able to create table of content paragraph in first/begining paragraph. After you done, you already have map to continue your article. So no reason again write English is difficult.
