30-Second Novel Series: "The Graffiti of the Soul"

Updated on May 8, 2017

"Grace in Outpour" (in Watercolor by Angelica Ebarvia Hementera)

I'm not afraid to show you my scars,

These are my badges of honor,

These are proofs,

That I have loved and labored,

That I have avoided the path

Which is easy, fast and cool,

And that no matter how life

Challenge me to the hilt,

Even beyond my threshold,

I, just like the Wind,

Will continue to Rise.

I choose the path,

That shapes and nurtures,

My soul because

Every time I Create

I experience more vividly

the Divinity of our own Creator.

I like how you used the imagery of the wind to rise from the ashes, just like the beautiful phoenix.

Love and loving is hard. Some of us forgo love and settle for connection. How do you think one can rekindle that desire to love and rise again?

That's a beautiful piece of poetry. I love the words, and the image you provided.

The picture is beautiful and self- descriptive. Loved the way you described. Keep it up!
