8 Signs on Why the Zombie Apocalypse Could Happen
Ah yes, the Zombie Apocalypse. If there was ever a choice in how I’d like the world to end that would be my choice in how to go out, just so I can show off my Michone from The Walking Dead skills. There are tons of conspiracy theories and survival guides for the zombie apocalypse (I passed it with flying colors.). Some have even remarked that even the Bible has candidly referred to its impending coming. If you do research zombies and the Bible you will find there are some verses that DO kind of reference the impending zombie doom, but if you really go deeper into reading you will discover this may not be the first time the zombie plague has happened either.
Here are 8 verses from the Bible (King James version) that shows reference to our possible upcoming zombie end, and that God may have invoked zombies as punishment before too. To wipe out the wrong doers of the long ago past.
“And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh his friends in the siege and straightness wherewith their enemies and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.”
The back story to this is God’s chosen people are slacking off again, and Jeremiah is his prophet-messenger to tell these people hey get back on board with God’s plan or he is going to unleash some nasty ugly on you, which as you can see sounds a lot like a zombie plague. Just saying.
I Corinthians 15:52
“In a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be cleansed.”
Doesn’t this sound like God might opt for a hoard of the undead to wipe out the earth? This is from God himself saying watch it or I might go Walking Dead style on you all. God don’t mess.
“For the Lord, himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
Now to me this sounds to me likes God planning his vengeance by raising his dead followers to feed on the flesh of the sinful living. Most would say no this verse relates to nothing like that, but now seeing it from this point of view it kind of makes you kind of wonder. Hmmm? And people say the bible is boring.
“That ye may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of the horses, a then that sit on them, and the flesh of all men both free and bond, both small and great.”
More zombie action here ala Resident Evil style as animals will apparently be infected as well for in verse 17 before states an angel is harkening all the fowls of the air to come and feast at Gods supper which seems to be the flesh of kings and captains. Yup Zombie birds A tad bit disturbing…. a tad bit disturbing.
“Therefore, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments during thee in the sight of the nations. And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations. Therefore, the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers, and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.”
Followers of the good book will say this is referring to the punishment of famine and pestilence, that God unleashed on the people for their disobedience, and that the people resorted to eating each other. Let’s see famine= no food. Pestilence=disease thus zombies are often a result of a mysterious disease. Boom! PROOF! There were zombies in bible times!
“Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.”
This pretty much sounds like God is wiping out sinners with an army of undead. How about you?
“And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.”
Who’d of thunk! God invented biological warfare! He is unleashing a zombie plague on the enemy to destroy them!
“And in those days, shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”
Sounds like the life of a zombie to me. This is mentioned in Revelations too, so in the end of times, zombies will roam.
There you have it. There are actually more verses that are said to hint at the zombie reference, but to me these verses actually hold some merit to a possible zombie apocalypse ending.
