A Better Reality

Updated on March 5, 2012
We all want a better life.
We all want a better life.

A Better Reality

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

What more do we need than eyes and ears,

to understand the strife,

to see the broken dreams of men,

to acknowledge wasted life.

What more do we need than a heart to feel,

to witness the suffering and cruelty,

to not lift a finger to change or soothe

a world so insecure.

What more do we heed than an open hand,

a simple gestured smile,

a kindness felt a helping hand

to deliver the uninspired.

What more can we do to affect a change,

to turn the tide of adversity,

to collectively pray and work for peace,

to find solace in all that is pure.

What more can we do to the hopeless,

by standing by our rejection,

and becoming part of the problem,

by propagating inaction.

What more can we be to ourselves,

to our sense of right and morality,

than accepting our fear and ineptitude,

and creating a better reality.

Once again Tony (I swear i say this each time), another great piece.

Would you mind if I linked this piece to a hub of mine which is fairly similar (An arcadian paradise)
