A Box of Broken Hearts

Updated on July 29, 2016

There was this box
Hidden from my eyes
There was this box
It only contain lies.

It was empty before
It was of no use
But when love came to me
How can I refuse?

Suddenly I'm looking
For this ordinary box
What will I do with it?
There's no turning back.

Time after time
This box filled up
Fragments of broken hearts
Is easy to tap.

The box became a mystery
A story of once upon a time
Wishing for a happy ending
But ends with a never after line.

I slowly tied the heartaches
With a velvet ribbon of sadness
To have it lost again
Beneath the sea of loneliness.
