A Case of Knowing Too Much

Updated on June 10, 2012

'twould seem

as though the pen

though light in my hand

gives my tongue added weight

sharp though it be

added cut

not intended

though extended

for what it matters

it bothers me

to be so free

to flow as I go

saying as I do

as I know

garnering praise from equal minds

and enjoying it in my turn

embarrassed as I am

to not know how to reply

for I speak to be understood

to understand how people speak

to respond in my kind

not to cause others to feel less

or leave my words

without response in turn

for they are overtures to conversation

broaching of matters

I hold dear

though decided I am

I am often wrong in mode

crowded in speech

or addressing things

that take time to unravel

but in so undoing

I found my fun

hungry to have fun again

with those who enjoy their pens

as I do mine

honing and sculpting speech

by mutual design

You are always welcome. I never claimed that my pen name wasn't obvious but sometimes I wonder if it is necessary.

I read lots of your stuff more than once. As I said before, it rings bells in familiar churches.

So it's not your real name? ;))

That makes my heart happy. If it is worth your constant reading I am flattered. If you end up sharing it with whomever I am honored. One question though. I am not sure at what point I ought to drop my nom de plum.
