A Child's Poem: My Teddy Bear

My favorite Teddy sits by my desk.

I draw him with crayons, and he smiles from his shelf.

Brown soft ears, and a charcoal-black nose,

Oh Teddy, how charming you are in that pose!

My favorite Teddy awaits on the floor,

I dress for a walk, and help him with his coat,

We had our snacks and are ready to go,

So Teddy and I head out the door.

My favorite Teddy hides from the rain,

I hold the umbrella and giggle again.

We run through the puddles, and count the drops,

We wait for the rainbow to cover treetops.

My favorite Teddy sleeps in my bed,

I tuck him with blankets, kiss him on the head.

I smile to my Teddy, and hug him so tight.

I turn off the light, and wish him good night.

Sounds exactly like something I would do...
