Prayer in times of affliction

Can affliction help us?

See results

Sweet Yesu Christos, You who encompasses, sustains ALL;

Gives solace to my longings.

O Fabric-Weaver of Eternal Time. Come!

Bring forward Your tapestry of secrets;

Untangle the fetters of a disconsolate mind.

Cloaked in the Silence of my Heart,

Continue to nourish and replenish my vigour.

Bless Your daughter on her unfolding journey,

O Gate-keeper of the Supernal Light!

Wise to all woes and shadows,

Let Your Grace nourish; remove the seeds of doubt.

Bestow Your boon on a loving yet melancholic Heart,

Grant me the matchless Pearl: the Joy without parallel,

In the Mansion of my Soul,

-Manatita, Bard of Solace. ©Copyrighted, 22nd November, 2014.

~ Wordcrafted Wisdom. Awakening The Light Within ~

Source

We are born and then we grow. Full of love, light and beauty,

we envisage large dreams and visions in the looming future before us.

We study and then work and in between we deal as best we can,

with the vicissitudes of life. No one is free of this; no one can run from it.

This makes us selfish - to an extent - and rightly so,

as we plan and look ahead in search of happiness.

Meanwhile, the Master Weaver shapes and moulds, and the seemingly

sharp knife hurts our egos, fears, insecurities, pleasures and doubts. What

a wonder and awe this is! Our joys, sorrows ... life's experiences

all in His hands as we are bruised and chiselled, in order to mould

a beautiful vase to alleviate our sufferings and grant us bliss.

Beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder, but the only time that much of it is evident is through deeds...

Thank you so much, Victor, my Dear Friend.

Some Hubbers are truly receptive to my work. You are most definitely one of them. I really value you for this. If I can serve in any way please let me know. Thanks Bro.

You know, my Sweet, I stumble.

Sometimes it's through simple misunderstandings, or ignorance or surprisingly enough, health reasons. I can get drained.

Still, I was blessed with an extraordinary Teacher, and my inner nature is always to serve, to Love. We are all children of the One. I believe you know this.

Your sentiment is kind, loving and sweet. Perhaps you have forgiven me. It means a lot! In Love and Light.

What can I say, My Sweet and very Dear Friend, Doris.

My prayers are with you in the midst of your storm, and more importantly, I suspect we both know that God is there also. Deep Gratitude.

Bill, you are a good man. She needs much of our thoughts and prayers at this time. I truly appreciate your continued support.

      Manatita,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your words, as always, are so encouraging…so assuring and at this time in my life, I am seeking to find whatever keeps me close to the Almighty. Soon, I plan to post a hub entitled "In the Midst of the Storm." That is where I find myself in my present here and now, but what is more important is that I am not alone. God has been with me every step of this way, and friends like you never have me far from their thoughts and prayers. I am most grateful for your beautiful words here and the reminder that God is in my midst. Voted up!
