A Collector's Coin

A Collector's Coin

I'm different sides to a single coin,
minted from one womb and loin...
melded precious metals joined
into a rare collector's coin.

Each side imprinted unto its own,
like fragile glass that's fired and blown,
reveals its tale in poetic tone...
precious, unique, oblique, unknown.

With facets, yet, both sharp and smooth,
some to graze and some to soothe...
was forged by hands of bitter youth...
refined by wear to spend in truth.

Burnished by the sands of time...
its vintage grows to reach its prime.
When dropped, it's jingle a lilting chime,
beyond the ordinary dime.

With different sides, this single coin,
Yet, minted from one womb and loin...
was melded from precious metals joined
into a unique collector's coin.

I have always been my worst critic, star, and someone wise told me I am not qualified to judge! I have found that to be Truth! I am your undyingly loyal fan forever, you have much talent and heart! Hugs to you, and much love!

My dear No-Clue, justice is what justice see's my friend. I love your writings and truly believe you have a great talent. I on the other hand am still learning poetry. You will still be my inspiration, just like Bill and Wayne, until I feel confident with my poetry writing. Bless you for your comment and good luck always with your work. x

thebluestar, it is not true! You tell yourself untruths! Write, star, Write! You are not a good judge here...and I am not a qualified judge of my own work...but as with anything, practice hones the skill! Hugs to you, star! Write!

Spirit Whisperer, that is a comfort! Thank you! The truth is, that I am coming to see that it serves me well...and it is best to embrace that duality rather than regret it! That is huge for me! Hugs!

Red and blue are at opposite ends of the spectrum that make up white light like opposite faces of the coin you mention here. Most of us spend our lives on an endless see-saw between happiness and pain. we can't be even aware of one without also the other so in this world duality is a necessity that naturally arises as a consequence of being human. So don't sweat it enjoy it!
