Paradise On Earth- A poem

Updated on January 17, 2013
The deeply thickened pine.
The deeply thickened pine. | Source

One day the rain

Softly fell upon

The Deeply thickened pine.

It took away the sunny skies

And broke this heart of mine.

But then the wind

Blew fast and free

To part the clouds away.

The Sun shone

Ever brighter

He livened up my day.

I love to feel

The Golden Sun

That shines up In the blue.

And drift through

Grassy fields

To feel the morning dew.

Elegantly dressed

Are the blossoms

Velvety soft and white.

Above me the air is filled

The Morning song of

Glorious birds in flight.

How great would

Be my wingless flight

Above the windy skies.

From the mountain trails

I climb to become

Spiritually Wise.

How bountiful

Is the morning

With the

Freshest sweetest air.

I live for this

Day in Paradise

That is

So Beautiful and

Fair.

Christina, I love the feel of this poem. I was brought into the warm arms of Mother Nature. I also have not heard this song by Tracy Chapman. I have always liked her. This is another look into her tormented soul. Her style reminds me of Janis Ian. A lot of people don't know her, but she was popular in the late 70's and sings of the pains of not being one of the 'beautiful people'.

....pure words of poetic bliss you have written here - straight from the heart and so noble and sincere that I too rejoice in the idea that one day we shall all meet again in paradise .....
