A Deafening Silence

Updated on March 23, 2017

A loud unrest divides the countryside,

Where the rich and poor both abides,

Is great, says one faction, an infraction,

Another proclaims, a turning of tides.

Some must be a loser, can't have it all,

Those to win, some excuser, at this ball.

What of a future, that of our inheritance,

Do we leave a ruin, of such perpetuance?

Just who is in charge, to lead this charge,

What is the intent, a message that's sent?

The defining moment, its unspeakable act,

Is so perfectly evident, this to be so exact.

A country once standing for freedom's reign,

Now is foraging for the basics, of every grain.

When will this madness come to a conclusion,

As every trick to be played, is just an illusion?

While our enemy awaits, in corners of our mind,

There's very little contentment for anyone to find.

Can everything we hear, make us each as blind,

As each working soul returns back to their grind?

When will the deaf to hear, those so blind to see,

Our world's now at stake, made just as a mockery?

When united we stand, while divided we may fall,

Our decisions today, as for tomorrow, effects us all.

Yes, MsDora we do and we must not wait. Our days are limited in repairing our broken world of its pollution and wasteful habits. Thanks for your support my friend. whonu

A very solemn and timely call for unity and decisiveness. Yes, we all share the responsibility for what happens to our world.
