A FLAWLESS HEAVEN
I saw a stairway, gold and sleek
I saw children playing on the streets.
My Dad was there, holding out his hands,
To give me a tour across the lands.
I walked with him, we talked a while.
A hug, a kiss, a perfect smile.
And then I saw a woman's gaze,
I recognized her, my Grandma's face.
Hand in hand, we walked a while,
Floating there, mile after mile.
But never tiring, traveling 'round,
Never needing to sit down.
I walked beyond the pearly gates,
And what I saw, it did amaze.
I toured the mansions here and there,
I saw loved ones everywhere.
The waters pure, that Crystal Sea
To see my reflection, looking back at me.
The lion and the lamb side by side
So peaceful, still, angels nearby.
The colors were bright like the grass after rain,
And everything in the light remained.
I saw Uncle Cliff on the mandolin,
And saw my cousin Gary Lynn.
Daddy snipped a rose for me
No thorns, and no water required of these.
It was just as fresh as years went by,
As the day he picked it for me in the sky.
Soon I saw Jesus, my Savior, my Lord,
Described as Light, as pure as His Word.
I bowed, I danced, I hugged, I touched,
The hem of His garment was just enough.
Right before I saw some smoke,
Jesus reached for me as He spoke.
"These are the prayers of the saints, Dear Child.
The bigger ones, the middle, the mild."
I looked upon the smoke again,
There was a prayer, I prayed for a friend.
I saw the ones I'd prayed for myself,
And saw the others upon a shelf.
From birth to death, a movie played,
But only things showed that was covered by grace.
I can't describe God on His throne,
All I knew was I was home!
