A Father's Hope

A Father's Hope

Behold the lord has given me a son

A gift of which I compare to none

I beg your pardon oh world men

For My sight is aided not by mortal men

Therefore I see not what you see

For all you see is a human seed

But what I see is a mortal king

And only a father could see such thing

His innocence, we once experienced

His faults, you scorn without recompense

A mortal son, a mortal father's plea

To a mortal world, and all we'll ever lead

Indulge a father, indulge a son of man

Through the eyes of the lord, and not through mortal lens
