A Fear Of Silence

Updated on October 22, 2011

The silence of your fists

Beating against the maelstrom

Exasperation flows through the veins

A wanting to be heard

In the cacophony of life

A world with a deadly fear of silence

An attempt to escape its chains

To break free, to stand tall

For the world to heed

To end the disregard

For one moment

It comes to a calm

With little sound

The silence interrupted

On the sound of a crashing wave

I loved these lines in your poetry

      "In the cacophony of life

A world with a deadly fear of silence"

Your poetry is beautiful, your expressions are very interesting, I loved interplay of metaphors.

The silence is beautiful when you strip away the fears. :)
