A Friend of A Friend

Updated on June 8, 2012

She was so beautiful

She was so free,

When we first met

She meant nothing to me.

I saw the look come

from deep in her eyes,

I knew it would happen

I was not too surprised.

As we made love

under the bright stars,

Two very different planets

Venus and Mars.

A Friend of a Friend

that's all we could be,

Passing ships on the ocean

of love... you see.

There was no love lost

neither sadness, nor glee.

a Friend of a Friend

was all she was to me.

I would hope that this love would rekindle at some time.. I love happier endings. Good poem and it makes you think.

Michael, it is beautiful, but touched with deep sadness, no less.
