A Gesture Of Evil Burns

Updated on February 5, 2015

In the darkness a shadow cries,

he believed in old fantastical lies,

myths, emblems of supernatural flies,

a gesture of evil burns,

and a demon leering before him

waiting for his turn,

a torment of feelings ripped inside,

and his sanity would hide,

as his insanity flips,

and the sorrow dips,

his hand hovering before his lips,

and then there was no calm,

his fingers curling to dig into his palm,

the waiting demon whispered only a single word,

so soft was the whisper,

no one heard,

but the gesture he could see,

and he wanted to run free,

so he could allow the vast

accumulation of shocks gradually wear away,

lost in darkness he was afraid to pray,

and it brought on the fear,

a fear he was afraid to share,

living in that agony, he just cried,

in reality he should have died,

bewitching eyes fixed on him

in a sudden silence,

he would gasp,

and that reality

he seemed unable to grasp.

I enjoyed this very much. . Keep up the great HUBS. Up one and beautiful. I'm always your fan! I am working a series of 5 novels, “Seeds from Heaven” that touches on a lot of the things you mention. One might ask, “What would the Messiah’s message be today if he traveled the Earth during our time?” “Lean against the Wind” is reviewed in a HUB.

Based upon this HUB, you might enjoy
