Never To Be Taken Away (a poem of inspiration)
No matter where we may live...across the oceans, or an island, mild,
A gift received by each...straight to our souls, as the angels all smiled.
The brightest light of the spiritual kind, placed inside us, ours only to see,
It guides us through, in all that we do, and forever, to set us each free.
We may be oppressed...all rights removed, and everything's taken away,
The one thing is ours, never removed, a granted request, ours, as we pray.
The feelings we hold deep inside, do abide... yet, we shall never be enslaved,
Our dedication and reverence that we hold...on our hearts we have engraved.
Not to matter our religion or faith...the humanity we hold, to be our essence,
How we all care, the same feelings we share, as gold, in all of its credence.
As we live every day the same...in humility, respect, and fondest reverence,
An honesty of the self, we hold in our hearts, true meaning of our presence.
Within our dreams we hold onto the best of life, our sanctuary, tucked away,
Our tomorrows may dawn, the brightest of the sun, those, a special new day.
Each has a chance, to reveal in life's dance, how we all do work or to play,
Ours, a charge, to respect and preserve, a smaller price for our children, to pay.
