A firm hand on the tummy,

And her womb became a sacred prayer.

Hope embraced the vision of a virgin dawn,

A pinnacle of inner joy.

Sweet Love, Your victory pervades the embryo;

Illuminates the unspoken sweetness, of the new-born babe.

Meanwhile, a mother’s matchless sacrifice and Soul’s rejoicing,

Glimmers like the perennial grandeur of the sun.

Dad’s overcome with pride divine;

Both parents soaring with the Light of Heaven.

He looked innocently into their eyes,

And their Soul’s danced to the immaculate beauty of the child.

Ah! Such Love in this unspoken moment,

What Joy and overflowing Delight!

Now, in this angel-blessed space,

Their song of gratitude was like a sweet psalm,

Brought by King David’s emissary of Peace,

Caressing their fulfillment, on this blissful stop in time.

O merciful Grace, greater than we can ever imagine. Proverbs

Innocence and joy; spontaneous naivete; abandonment to Divine Providence are just some of the qualities of the child.

Aren't they cute?

The joys of birth

Have you been present and if so how did you feel?

      There's nothing like a baby's laughter to brighten the day. They're so genuine and pure.

      I was present at my own birth, of course. I was elated once my son was born, but the pain during (natural childbirth) was something I'll never forget.

      Beautiful poem and on such a divine topic!

      Who can define the ' joy of creation'!

      Besides the Almighty, Only a mother can !

      No doubt there is pain and the risk of life, but the joy to see the gift of God is supreme and enables the mother to overcome all the pain and sufferings.

      Like all the other mothers, I am blessed to experience this pleasure.

      Words are not enough to appreciate this divine hub! Thanks and May God Bless You!

      There's nothing like the birth of a baby. I've witnessed it many, many times in my years of nursing. Beautiful poetry! And the video make me lol, so sweet...

      Dee,

      Aren't you a seasoned pro, my Dear? Scary? LOL. Yes, different for each one, I suppose. I was probably born in my grannies house. They didn't worry too much in those days. It is quite possible that modern stresses and other forces are affecting some current births. Thank you.

      I've been present and I must admit that it is scary; probably, because my grandmother always said that a women risks her life every time she gives birth. However, after their successful entry into the world, it's exciting to watch them grow. After all, they're God-given!
