A Grant of Grace (a poem of inspiration)
Yes...from sea to shining sea,
the Lord God did grant to us his grace,
As proof of this benevolent act,
is to be seen in every grateful face.
The most beautiful mountain tops,
To the wave swept ocean's shores,
Reflect a magnanimous and strongest love,
This, to all that he so adores.
America, the grandest country, exemplified,
by its fondest freedoms, all so fair,
A wonderful exposition, as an exclamation...
That of an all giving father's care.
A shinning and monumental work of art,
Created by the greatest one's hands,
Our gifted artist, who has so smiled upon us,
This, every follower, so understands.
We, as a symbol of the free... the just...
must strive to serve this image, very well,
When we fall down in our deeds, as a contempt...
in our stewardship, we do each so fail.
Those who seek to condemn, in the worst way,
their actions, all to be seen, as in gravest question,
It is the worthy ones, all who do faithfully comply,
Living in honor and goodness, as inspiration.
Smiling expressions of every fond race,
All people to stand upon the soil, we embrace,
Serve as beacons, shone all around this earth,
and are the light so seen, by God's loving grace.
