A Haiku - Adversity

We didn't ask for it, but here it is: adversity once again. We've coped before. Surely we can again, but this time it seems so immediate, so threatening. I know where help comes from, but when, how?

Debts piling so high.

Work nowhere in sight these days.

Topsy turvy life.

Nice it is to know

We've dug our way out before.

Chin up, press on now.

Another storm now,

Opportunity again.

Triumph in the works.

What really counts most?

The height of the massive wave?

The challenge and ride?

Things could be much worse:

Disease, divorce, even death.

Paddle, catch the wave.

Life is what we have.

Time is on our side we know.

Trust and strive we must.

The sun will rise soon.

A night of rest will follow.

Yes, "In God we trust."

He will not fail us.

A chance to renew our faith.

A rich Father ours.

Nice to know He knows.

"Not stones for bread" the promise.

Never forsaken.

God has his own plan.

Looking back we will see it.

Look to God and live.

Voted up and awesome. Where there is faith and trust in God there is a way through life's forest.
