A Haiku - Asking a sure sign

Ask for a sure sign....

Ask for a sure sign?

Ignore what is plain to see?

Life's gifts: you and me.

Good point. Sometimes we miss what is right in front of us. Nice haiku! Seems to be the night for haikus! Several votes here, including up!

Mark 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Luke 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

There are so many "signs," we literally have choices. The Universe may be "streaking away from us" but the Holy Ghost is with us in all our righteous doings as the Comforter from John 16:7 - "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."

Great haiku poem! Very straight to the point and beautiful. It says a lot to not look over what is most important. Those who are right in front of us and are always there. Voted up!

Good haiku poem, I also think we don't always see what's in front of us it's to plain to be seen.

Deborah Brooks: How right you are! If there was a last present under the Christmas tree or on the birthday table, would anyone walk away and leave it there unopened? Yet there are even more precious gifts that we sometimes couldn't care enough to claim for ourselves in any given day. How can that be?

geetika iyer and writer20 - - Your comments remind me of the young man who is looking so hard for the "right girl" that he doesn't notice the girl right next door who already loves him.
