A Haiku - Change

Updated on February 15, 2014

There are tides and seasons in our lives. Many we make ourselves.

With each season of our lives changes come.

Make time for changes, and change what can be changed.

Even some roses can change their colors. We are even more adaptable.

The sky is constantly changing; at times beautiful, at others threatening, even changing men's schedules, feelings, lives. We are capable of constantly changing, fine tuning our lives.

Change takes hope and light;

Or darkening despair and fear.

See beyond this view.

See beyond the eyes.

Look deep within, to your Self.

Change what you can change.

Rise and grow anew.

Life's one constant is changes.

Be ready. They come.

You sure said it in a nutshell, and we must all do this in order to get anywhere.

BlossomSB - Change is inevitable. If we try hard and have a little luck we can direct it.

annart - another saying "Variety is the spice of life.". Some places don't have a real change of seasons. (Djakarta, Indonesia comes to mind with the routine daily high temperature being 92 F., and the low 72 F.)

Kate Mc Bride - one change I like is having some change in my pocket! ; - o )

Lovely haiku here with good encouragement for those of us who do not like change-it is natural;it just happens and this is the way to go. Thanks for sharing this

'A change is as good as a rest' they say. Without change life would get a little tedious. Yes, so much changes and often for the good. I love to see the seasons work their magic. Ann

As we grow older we don't always welcome change, but it seems to happen anyway and we must learn to adapt. Just as well for us that God is unchanging. Enjoyed your poem.

Oh, I liked this set of Haiku very much, Demas. As Eric noted above, change is an integral part of nature that we sometimes fail to see with our own eyes. It rests within us us all. Voted up and shared.

Very nice, thank you for this sharing of love of the change that is nature!
