They are falling now.

First the large flakes fall.

Big feathers,slowly falling.

Small ones last 'til spring.

I had to wait for March, for a real snowfall! Hardly characteristic of The Rockies. Fortunately there has been some snow all winter at the higher elevations where there are so many ski resorts with "The Greatest Snow On Earth." I have shoveled twice all winter, with a few sweeps thrown in. Both shovelings came this week in March! Now there is abundant snow at all the resorts, and it finally looks as Christmas should have!

There is something magical about watching big white snow flakes fall from the sky.

      Voted up and beautiful.

I can only imagine the beauty of snowflakes--I've heard each one is unique. Lovely poem.
