A Haiku - Revenge
Revenge is a two-edged sword that cuts both ways. (Romans 12:19-21)
If we all exact revenge, it will be endless.
Revenge is not sweet!
A farmer's tale and rat's tail
Tell the story well:
The rat, as rats do,
Stole from the farmer's ripe fields.
Until it was caught.
The farmer's revenge
Was to set the rat on fire.
Like a rocket now,
The rat in pain fled
Setting the ripe fields ablaze.
Revenge had its cost.
Revenge is not sweet!
Injury to the farmer,
Lit a flame in him.
The rat was punished
For doing what a rat does.
Better send the cat.
Cats do what they do,
As every rat will attest.
Revenge destroys self.
